Most of what's being taught with the bed is that in war, EVERY DETAIL MATTERS!!!!!!

When I did basic we went the NAAFI and bought a load of safety pins and pinned the sheet to mattress from underneath, once you've pinned one side in place you can iron the sheet flat, pull the sheet nice and tight and adjust your corners until they're perfect.

I now realize I’ve been making my bed military style all this time except for the last step, tucking in the top blanket

You can use a clipboard to tuck the fabric further under to get all the creases out through tension.

We had a few guys that pissed off the DS, so they had to make their beds in the morning formation area for an hour or so one night.

Not enough time. And sometimes, too much time. But the answer to that is; It's never been made correctly. Never, never, never.

@someguy50353 ай бұрын
I signed in just to wreck your sh**, but changed my mind and decided to try to do this different. I was in for 22 years. I was both enlisted and a commissioned officer. I have multiple deployments to Iraq and 'stan. I lived in Korea 2 years. I did a lot. Let me ask you this. If someone is willing to sweat, fight, lose sleep, deploy, and bleed for America do you not think they are not American? I assert that they are MORE American than 99% of the people reading this reply. What else do you want from someone to know they are American? Someone is willing to come here and giver their all for this country, but you don't think they are worthy? I'd argue they are MORE worthy. When I saw this video I had to click on it because it brought back so many memories of BCT. And wouldn't you know it, they are STILL doing "hospital corners" the way I did it in 1998. Might not seem like a big deal, but it is. Ask anyone you know in the military. And then I saw the DSG's name. Boateng. One of the BEST officers I ever worked with and for had that last name. The guy was an animal. Fantastic shape, strong, super smart, a great leader. But he'd never brag. Super humble. The kind of guy you'd wish your son grew up like. And get this. At one time, he was a "foreigner."
