I live in Hollywood, Hollywood is about 2-3 miles away from Ft. Lauderdale. Fun fact, Ft. Lauderdale is in Broward County. Broward County is home to the 6th largest school district in the U.S. Here is a tip as well, if you’re in the area and you want a less crowded beach, visit Hollywood beach! Rocco’s pizza is AMAZING, and it’s right next to the Margarita Vill. Also a lot of tourists also like to go to Orlando. Take the Brightline train from Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, or West Palm Beach to Orlando! It will save a ton of money and the train goes around 70 MPH! I am hearing a LOT of questions about Hurricane Season and where to go. Ft. Lauderdale is safer because, it’s a higher elevation and it’s much older which means that the quality of the buildings are better. The best bet is to go farther inland. Nice video ! I'm just back home in Ireland after a ten day break in Fort Lauderdale. I loved the great mix there, the local history, the beaches, the parks, the museums, the friendly locals etc. It took a while to get used to the heat but it was rainy season, so a little rain most days to cool us off. Amazing to see such a wide variety of wildlife roaming about freely. I did get caught out by the bugs though, but that was due to my inexperience. Next time, I'll be ready !

Cool video...I visited Fort Lauderdale during Christmas week 2018 and I was amazed as well of all of the million dollar homes and yachts that I saw practically everywhere! It was nice though spending the early mornings walking up and down the beach front

Been going there since 1979, Spring break, it was absolutely not quiet then, but the city has evolved, when they first banned or discouraged spring break, it was a ghost town, when all the little motels closed up shop, and big chains arrived, like the W hotel, it came back, and has been growing ever since, I now enjoy it there with my family as an adult, but when I come down A1A, I still hear Disco music, it's just playing on XM radio, in my rental car

Hi Eddie! In Fort Lauderdale itself, it's really hard to find well-rated hotels (2.5-3 stars and up) for less than $100/night. If you're on a budget and if you have a car, look at nearby cities like Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach (along the coast) or Plantation (inland) for better deals. I shoot the videos with Osmo, it's a camera/gimbal combo.
