Seems like a cool lake trip! What's the elevation in that area?

@@daurbanexplorer5293 nothing too high 522 feet. The lake pretty cool, when we went it was low due to no rain. If you’re visiting Waco, it’s a short drive. Worth visiting even if it’s just for the day.

How unfortunate you did not delve into the rich history and neighboring Fort where the Parker's were massacred by the Comanches - the Cynthia Ann abduction and her son Quanah - last of the Comanche chiefs...

That area is rich with history and we even passed by to check out the old Fort. Our focus on this trip is the state park, but we do plan on returning to check that place out.
