👩🏽🦱 Good point. An innocent 16 year old was falsely identified and accused of stealing a BACKPACK in NY and sent to jail for 3 or 4 years, because his (single) mother couldn’t pay his bail. He later committed suicide. 🙏🏽 It urks me just thinking about it. He also got jumped in prison. It makes me sad. 😢

Bond for a murder charge. Yeah that makes sense 🙄 Yet how many people get a no bond for something frivolous. Judges need to be held accountable after giving bond and something happens.

Innocent until proven guilty. No pretrial detention unless flight risk or danger to community. If charged with random killing might be hard to show no danger to community, but allegedly killing spouse doesn’t show danger to public. It is the system in the US
