Microsoft really dropped the ball with the Xbox One, it's showing its age a lot more than the PS4, its resolution in Fortnite is about the same as the docked Nintendo Switch and this console is basically a tablet-sized handheld.

La one x, parece estar usando LUMEN, para la luz del sol o las sombras entre otras cosas, algo que pensé que solo estaba reservado para consolas de nueva generación, aunque parece tener el lumen al mínimo, ya que sólo afecta a las sombras y a algunos reflejos.

La One X sigue siendo una Bestia, una máquina para la cual se deberían producir juegos 2 años más por el potencial que tiene… pero al final son ellos quienes deciden, es una lástima para sus usuarios porque tiene unos 5 años de vida y lo normal siempre son 7. Sé que producir para One X y no para One base/S es una lástima para las dos One mas modestas pero One X es mucho más potente. Igualmente decir que con un poco de suerte todavía habrá desarrolladoras que quieran seguir dando soporte un tiempo más.

It still quite amazes me that we're seeing an Unreal Engine 5.1 game running on a portable console like the Nintendo Switch and at almost the same resolution as the base Xbox One version, yeah... the frame-rate is half, but it's even graphically close to the Xbox One in some specific points (and graphically superior to the mobile version in general), this is incredible for a handheld, Epic really did an incredible job with this engine, I never imagined it would be so scalable. Not to mention that it's pretty cool that the PS4 Pro and Xbox One have some improvements besides the higher resolution (like draw-distance, shadow quality and texture quality) you don't see so many companies giving importance to these consoles since the PS5 and Xbox Series were released.

Fortnite Smartphone still looks ugly as fuck. I know heat is the main issue when it comes to gaming on phones but if they are quote, unquote "making phones more power efficient" then the heat threshold should be more forgiving. There should be no excuse why these newer chip smartphones can't look like the Nintendo Switch in graphics by now. If your phone is capable then there should be an option for your phone to do so. This option of course, won't be available on less capable devices. I just can't stomach the fact that we have phones with A16 bionic and 8 gen 2 SoC in them and still look outdated.

I recently got a Series S and yesterday went back to playing the PS4 slim version to try it out. It runs at 50-60 for the most part. Really smooth for the type of game it is. However I don't know what is it, but it gets down to 20 sometimes. My guess is that it happens when it loads a lot of things at once. I have gotten killled due to these spikes more than once.

No conozco mucho del tema, ¿Pero era necesario actualizar la vieja generación a unreal 5 también?, solo hizo que esas versiones del juego se vieran peor ya que están usando un motor que no fue pensado para ps4, xbone y switch

Unreal Engine 5 fue implementado desde el Capitulo 3, fortnite iba decente, pero en el capitulo 4 recien actualizaron a Unreal Engine 5.1 e implementaron Lumen y Nanite, cambiando el estilo de los graficos pero eso fue desición de epic
