I feel like the confrontational emotes setting goes both ways. On one side, why are you so soft? On the other, why do you have to be toxic? In the end, having this option is not a problem. Players who are tired of this certain kind of toxicity can do something about it, and players who don't care can just leave it off.

Blocking emotes is a good idea on paper, but it’s been implemented in the wrong way. The setting should be customizable so you can toggle what emotes you want to block as well as have a different settings for categories created by epic, such as Toxic or Potentially Inappropriate. So you can block not only toxic emotes like Take the L if you are easily enraged but also you can block emotes you find annoying, like a song you don’t like.

I’ll firmly stand on the belief that this should be one of the least controversial updates, seeing people so upset at an *optional* setting is concerning tbh. Doesn’t make anyone “soft” for not wanting to see certain emotes if they choose, and you as the person doing it will never truly know if it’s on. It has no effect on you as the player unless you’re overly toxic or stream sniping cause…otherwise you won’t even see their reaction?
