They ideally want to upgrade to new stuff, as most of the benefits they want (better frames, better rendering, etc) will come from that, but when they, like lots of people, don't have a couple grand to do that, then they get preyed upon by the folks this video is talking about. Anyways, not that important of a distinction either way.

As someone that knows a large amount about pc tweaking Yes. some people don't realise that some of these videos on how to tweak your pc for more fps may actually be giving more fps but less stable fps and be causing other games to run worse. I learned that the hard way on my really old laptop. Fortnite ran fine but everything else ran like butt. but without tweaks it ran perfectly. Stability should be a go to instead of trying to achieve the highest fps.

The same thing happened to me fortnite runs fine but valorant started to run like dogwater the fps in the agent select go from 140 to 10 every second(i get 144 consistent in game its just the agent select and loading screen)

Actually the "dont put your pc on the carpet tip in the intro is actually a good tip because a pc on a carpet can collect dust in the power supply because the fan pulls in air along with carpet fibers and dust. This happens as the fan draws in air to cool the PSU, it also sucks up dust and debris from the carpet.

Make a full compilation of every good tweak that has zero chance of ruining fps and to only increase fps. Picking up a 14700k build soon and need genuine tweaks that are simple. (Overclocking, turning off and on settings, etc)

All u need to do go in NVIDIA controls panel Restore everything and open NVIDIA profile inspector then look for power management and put on adaptive and restart ur pc I recommend u to reset your pc To factory or just a normal reset I’m on ASUS tuf f15 gaming laptop

I recommend searching through your KZbin search history and reverting settings back to defaults. It may not be the most convenient but a last resort solution is to reset your PC.

Nvidia reflex works anyway regardless of low latency mode in the control panel. According to the Nvidia latency guide, it is best to let the driver and the game communicate to automatically perform optimally.

Usually he says valid stuff but putting your laptop or PC on carpet will decrease airflow, just as it happens when you try to vacuum a carpet, and less airflow is higher temps which results in throttling

good video but HDMI does support up to at least 240fps. i used a laptop for a while that had only HDMI out and i connected it to my 240hz monitor and had full 240fps. that being said, there was more delay. i think my monitor is like a 1ms delay, and it went to 3ms or something, but still, HDMI does work with 240.

I’ve noticed that an overwhelming majority of these people who makes these optimization videos all say the same crap. And a lot of these are just word of mouth optimizations. For example most computers will not get performance improvement from using performance mode as it is mainly for older gpus and not for raw performance benefit. For most you will get better performance from dx12.

Bro I built a pc with a 7800xt and i7 14700k and it’s a beast. However since the past few days, it’s been getting heavy stutters and in consistent frames. I’ve updated the drivers, settings seem fine (it’s a beefy pc so it shouldn’t have any troubles in the first place), and I’ve not used any software and config apps to do anything; it’s raw so far… not even overclocked yet. But still stutters that sometimes go down to 10 fps. Is this malware or viruses? If not, what could it be?
