​@jackbigbuss They're niche modes, so they aren't gonna have an insane amount of players. Also the pit is a combat mode and most people who play Fortnite prefer shooters so it makes sense. The new modes get updates it's just they also have to split their focus between the modes, br, and collabs. The cosmetics are for people who enjoy that mode and prefer it, they'll buy those cosmetics if they like them, it's like br not every person who plays that mode will buy every skin, pickaxe, glider, and wrap. The point you brought up about jam tracks is true tho they should lower them since there are so many now, and you require them to have more to do on Festival.

It's because I want to play Pokémon Scarlet not Mario kart. If I open Danganronpa is because I want to play a visual novel not God of War, so If I open Fortnite it's because I want to play a battle royale not Guitar hero. And for a lot of people it is the same. Fortnite has 7 years. 6 years only as BR. So the base of players that play Fortnite is as a BR. Even if now they want to make this thing about a metaverse or mimic Roblox with the "experiences" thing. Of course there is people that play frequently those new experiences but it's not the usual behaviour in Fortnite players. It's okay to try new things. But, they should fit with what your game is.

I’d say that LEGO isn’t failing because it’s the only mode that actually gets constant updates. People are too rash to say that these modes are failures simply because they are comparing them to Battle Royale. These modes (except for Rocket Racing) are getting more concurrent players than some games that deserve these numbers (games like PvZ GW2 would kill to have these numbers). I do actually like Lego and Festival (they are pretty mid overall though) but I’m just looking at numbers here. Lego consistently gets 40k players concurrent and with Festival about 8k to 10k players. The reason why these games aren’t played is because they aren’t reaching the audience that they are made for. These games are pretty average compared to other games in their genres, and also are inside Fortnite, a game already established as a shooter game.

I think with rocket racing. If they made it similar to crash team racing with actual go-karts but kept the essence of Rocket Racing, I think more players would stick with it. Plus the racing maps seemed like it was an after thought. Personally, I think rocket racing needs a massive overhaul. If I were to make changes to that mode it would be this 1. Change cars into kart like models, then that way you can see your character. 2. Create well thought out maps, like a zero point race car map or slurp factory. 3. Have a combat system. You can have items from the main BR mode come over to rocket racing, like shield bubble Jr to protect your kart or iron man's repulsors for a collab item. They could also rotate items in and out of rocket racing to keep the mode fresh. 4. Lastly, have a victory animation end screen for the top 3 players. They can emote and show off lol But I don't know, that's just my 2 cents.

the main reason is because all these games would be damn near impossible to make better than competitors. if i wanted a survival game with building, id go play the forest. if i wanted a racing game, id go play mariokart. if i wanted a guitar hero game, id go play helldivers 2. these modes were doomed to fail from the beginning, they couldve diverted their efforts into making what they already had better, but they didnt and instead focused on too many things, and i dont think fortnite's metaverse could have EVER succeeded. if i wanted a platform where i can go play all these unique games where i assemble my avatar and just be there as the character i want to, id go play roblox. fortnite is inherently a battle royale and its own mish mash of genres, that being save the world. fortnite is a combat sandbox nomatter which mode you're playing. it's not a problem with uefn's engine limitations, its a problem with fortnite as a whole. it never would've worked nomatter what epic did.

honestly rocket racing was pretty fun but the only insensitive to play, being ranking up and getting the xp batches, were GUTTED! You could get like multiple levels from rank up challenge ontop of the xp you get from dailys and just playing, and they gutted those ranked xp batches to a total of 15k the next sesson (less then one daily quest) and then literally nothing now. Like i have ZERO insensitive to play now lol

The problem with these metaverse game modes is that they’re not unique enough to attract new players from other games. They mainly appeal to a small part of the Fortnite BR player base, so they are more like side quests or distractions from the main game. You can only play these side quests so many times before they get boring, and no one wants to spend a lot of money on something that feels like a side activity. That's why these modes tend to fail.

I think Lego has potential to last for much longer, rocket racing definitely is dead and festival is basically on deaths door(it's a cool concept but there's like only so much you can do with it) As sad as it is, i hope that metaverse for Fortnite dies off. When it comes to the metaverse there is no one problem address all. Theres paid for content, theres limitations, there the lack of engement, and the games feel unpolished even for what it is. But i think the main problem here is how these new modes dont reflect a playstle fortnite should be striving for. Theyre either to repititive or to empty and lacking but they dont have that engement factor to be a unique expirence every time you play it. In Battle royal there are so many outcomes and so many goals beyong get the victory. ypu can make friends, you can loot, you can build a skybase, you can troll, you can hunt down a person using the cybertruck but with these other modes its just a simple goal. I think if fortnite made a rougue like or some sort of version of hell divers it would have been a different outcome

@@gamerbeast3616 yeah it’s alright as a game mode, But it’s also not that great and I don’t know who makes the quests for Rocket Racing but it’s too much, completing a series of quest would need you to focus purely on rocket racing and nothing else, while the other modes like Festival and Lego has straight forward challenges, letting you play whatever you want while still being rewarded frequently for playing

I hate that Epic Games ruined they Rocket League they the game was getting season and little updates after free to play we thought that they were cooking something but instead it was rocket racing a game mode no one asked and also it was in Fortnite and the thing it took away was trading which is a big part of rocket league we thought we where getting creative but in Rocket League and every platform can use it or UE5 but instead we got this crap that gets like no players and Epic is just putting over priced stuff in the Fortnite and Rocket League shop because they are money hungry I like Fortnite and Rocket League I like when they collaborate but I don’t like this
