Well,the device actually failed. The original plan was to destroy the storm,but like a movie,something went wrong,and the storm flooded (which was very strange :v). So yes,it actually failed

I thought it did fail, because everyone was confused at the ghost headquarters place (where we got teleported to) or he just went rogue. But he turned shadow after event

Envying OwO that was more of a place holder him becoming shadow after the even as he was originally going to be there for a little longer but it’s not worth it to replace him if there going to next season as well as they want to try and keep the vault so they needed him and it wouldn’t make sense for him to be the only ghost at the location

It started failing in the middle of the event. Midas originally wanted to get rid of the storm completely, but instead completely flooded the map.
