No, it’s the water storm. They replaced the storm with water outside the map because Midas really fucked it up. The cause of season 3’s flooded map is the water storm falling down.

i just realized that the reason it turned gold is because midas probably touched it and the zero point used the power from the golden touch to push back the storm

oh hell no, jules helped him making the device that was taking energy directly from the zero point just like the robot in season 9. the storm is a natural force and the only way the IO has to control it is the Border (same mechanics as the Storm Shield in fortnite save the world) Midas was able to stop the loop when the weather became clear. IO shot a lighting to the device and restored the border that was holding both the tsunami and the storm

Mzidas breaking the storm was a diversion so he can try and break the loop thats why we teloported outside of the simulation as he tried to get us out of the loop but agent jonsey cuaght on to this hence him metioning the loop and saying how it is connected as midas didnt try and save us from the storm but from the loop also shadow had no role in the event sooooo technically we dont know if caos agent actually won the war between shadow vs ghost yes he may have taken over the agency but that is because midas is gone and the place was destroyed
