This game is the biggest ego feeder. I never got into it but since no build came out I've been playing a few hours here and there. It's either a bot lobby or a bunch of kids. When you come from apex, counter strike, overwatch and halo it definitely feels straight forward. Just sending down the whole map in a car and stomping on everybody as you run into people. I don't even know the game but still stomp on lobbies without knowing the locations (most are still locked for me), the different guns, the npc events and stuff. I was shocked to get a #1 win on the 4th try. But then you go back to a tactical shooter and you get shut down real quick 😅

@@charlesm.2604 can confirm this. i've played a lot ever since chapter 1 season 4. in chapter 1 there were no bots or sbmm so it was an actual 100 person battle royale and winning was an "achievement". now when you first get into the game the lobbies are either literally nothing, but bots or 70+ bots and 30 of the worst player on the continent. meanwhile people who have player for a while and are legitimately good at the game get into games with less bots and people of equal skill. it's a fucking joke. same with the ranked mode. even the highest tier (unreal) is not even a big achievement because even ranked is catered to shit players so they can feel good getting a higher rank. The highest tier of ranked is not much harder than a normal match with the highest level of sbmm.

@@GutsEnthusiast I heard they hold tournament with $100 prize once the pool is shared. Clearly the game isn't competitive. It must suck for old serious players though, I couldn't imagine what a game I invested years of time and energy grinding turned to shit but here we are.

fortnite works for me after a few minutes/games, for whatever reason. I have a terrible setup as well. It lags so much until im in it for a good 10 minutes or so. And then it runs smooth.

If you were wondering Connor the "save the world" mode was unpopular because it was never actually finished. They abandoned it about 65% of the way through to do the battle royal mode. There was a huge scandal and a massive law suit about it from the many people who got the $75-$300 backer pre-orders. Second biggest scandal of the 2010-2015 era. Around that time PUBG taught Devs that you can develop part of a game, scrap all the scripting, ai, storyboarding, world building and just rig a 1/3rd person camera to a 3d model and chuck players in an empty world with randomized gear and boom instant easy cash extremely low development costs. This later killed other games as well Titanfall 3 for example got scrapped for apex legends. Credit where credit is due though years later fortnite has actually made something worthwhile out of the formula compared to all the other carbon copy royal clones on the market. Still not the game that was originally promised though and still salty I never got my $300 back XD (For clarity I don't have any gamer friends so it's always a solo thing for me which is.....a lot less fun than squadin up so fortnite is just not as fun for me.)
