2020 fortnitemares was the peak for me. Loved the whole infected game mode and vibe. Felt like a real Halloween update, not like right now with just adding some Halloween themed items and skins in the shop

Although they did put the most effort into making the event, i hated this event mainly because the ghosts were too op and infected mode was THE GAME and not an ltm, it was super annoying. Plus the only thing they added besides the ghosts was shadow midas and the witch brooms

Honestly I loved all the Halloween stuff when it was in BR. The zombies and all cause it felt like a fort nightmare. Now it doesn’t cause you have to go into different things like horde rush to get stuff. Also the decorations have been sadly and very badly declining. Chapter 1 season 6 Halloween theme was the best

The problem is there’s just not enough content anymore or more versatile content that can change. I completed all my challenges for horde rush within 3 matches in 1 day. Need more challenges for that. The map also isn’t decorated with spooky scary stuff anymore as well.

What enriched the earlier Fortnightmares periods were the quests in other LTM's. This year, all we have are quests in Horde Rush. Before, we also had quests in several Halloween-related LTM's as well as in a movie-short LTM in a virtual theater. Those helped with the Halloween mood. And I think everyone is too hard on 2022 - now Epic has figured out how to protect an exposed player while upgrading on-map (current lightsaber mechanic vs. that of the growler claws), so the experience would be better and more players would realize that DJ Lyka gave you a great weapon for free. Epic should give all players the DJ Lyka skin.

Absolutely right on all accounts, except I would have illustrated the failure that this year had as well. Hardly any Halloween updates except crossovers, they would've added revenant either way. The new shotgun is another reskinned weapon. Overall it really stinks

its not that 2023 fortnitemares is bad, its that the expectations have risen too much. This season released less outfits but new weapons and augments and multiple heavy requested halloween skins. Don’t forget they’ve been working on chapter 5 A LOT

Also didn’t like how Epic gave us BogStick’s accessories but you have to pay 1200 vbucks for the skin/back bling….I get after the lawsuit and firing a lot of staff they’re trying to make up from it but I think they should always throw us a bone during Halloween. Really interested on how things are going to go from here onward let’s hope fun and innovative things are in our future.

in the 2020 fortnitemares i played on switch and i had stick drift and to heal as a shadow you need to stand COMPLETELY still and hold interact on a item to heal, but my drift was so bad i could never even heal as a shadow so any damage was permanent, I still remember to this day.
