You make it look easy, Chris, especially not dropping all of the pack when putting the stuck lever in line. In all honestly, a great video to translate lever locks with false gates to pin tumblers with security pins & vice versa. A nice impromptu giveaway as well - I’m in.

Great controlled picking Chris, really like this video, very nice lever picking tips, your are the first person I have seen working on the false gates to leave out them without reseting the all pack lever, very cool, it´s exactly like pick spools in a pin tumbler or dimple lock, simple and beautiful, well done! I love that pick set, cross my fingers, and the lock too, there are no lever locks like that in Spain, the ones I have are from UK and their picking is really fun, I love them but they are really hard to get from here. Thanks for showing this useful video, cheers my friend ;o))

Fantastic demonstration Chris and your timing couldn’t be better. :0) on the fortress sash locks there is a sticker saying “warning - do not open, locksmith tool required”. What tool is it referring to and how do you use the tool? I would love to see you do a video on how you match the cuts on a mortise lock key to which number lever it needs, as I took my fortress sash lock apart and did not note which lever numbers went in which order, so it is in pieces till I learn to put the correct order of levers inside to match up with the cuts on the key. So far I can’t find a video on how to put back together a era fortress sash lock, including how to tension the handle spring and I wish there was a service manual available somewhere. :0(

Chris Evans Lock Picking thank you so much Chris. I had not seen what the era fortress tools looked like and after seeing the video I realised I had those tools in my older style era fortress service kit I got in the post today. I was trying to use the brass levers numbered 1 to 7 to fit a new set of keys but was struggling so decided to put the original steel levers back in but put them in the wrong order as I forgot to write down the sequence of numbered levers. Lol The fortress sash lock is back together now apart from the levers and will wait for you to do a video on how to put the correct levers in the correct order for a key to work and hopefully you will include tips for deciding which lever is needed if you are rekeying it to a new set of keys. :0) Thank you so much Chris. :0)
