These types of large impregnable & magnificent forts might have been built mostly with slave labour because of prohibitive cost involved then.Sometimes I use to wonder as what would have been the standard of living of common people among the pomp & splendour of aristocracy on one side & frequent wars between neighbouring kingdoms.

Agra fort was not built by mughals. It was already built by rajputs.. Mughals enhanced it . and used red sandstone
