Ep#11 of Forts of India: The Ranthambore Fort in Rajasthan lies within the Ranthambore National Park. The park once used to be the hunting grounds of the Maharajahs of Jaipur until the time of India's Independence. It is a formidable fort having been a focal point of the historical developments of Rajasthan. The fort was held by the Chahamanas (Chauhans) until the 13th century, when the Delhi Sultanate captured it.
In 2013, at the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee, Ranthambore Fort, along with 5 other forts of Rajasthan, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the group 'Hill Forts of Rajasthan'.

The name Ranthambore is an aberration of Ranstambhpur. Pushpesh Pant provides us with his self-manufactured flawed version at 1:30, observing 'bore' as the ravine and 'rann' as the hill. ☹️

So this documentary introduced the fort with Kuthubuddin’s desire to attack it. I think rather it should be started with mentions of names of all the Rajput Rulers. What a pathetic presentation to demean the real kings who created this marvellous fort. What a shame.
