One of the best part of this book was importance of Tafseer of Quran. When Kimya comes to Shams and asks regarding a ayah of Surah Nisa, it was such a beautiful moment when Shams replies to her" The Qur’an is like a shy bride. She’ll open her veil only if she sees that the onlooker is soft and compassionate at heart". And then his translation Men are the support of women as God gives some more means than others, and because they spend of their wealth (to provide for them). So women who are virtuous are obedient to God and guard the hidden as God has guarded it. As for women who feel averse, talk to them suasively; then leave them alone in bed (without molesting them) and go to bed with them (when they are willing). If they open out to you, do not seek an excuse for blaming them. Surely God is sublime and great.” It was my favourite part. Apart, I just loved why Shams did not slept with Kimya because she wasn't 18, because like Prophet, he did not slept with Hazrat Ayesha until she was 18. This novel is my personal favourite. It's even above Pir e Kamil or Alchemist or etc.

Your comment shows you didn't get the whole point of Shams not consummating his marriage. Being 18 was never a criteria for being an adult. Not more than a hundred years ago people didn't even calculate their ages let alone considering themself adults after a scertain period of time. Girls would be married off after they hit puberty and boys were allowed to go to wars. Prophet Muhammad consummated his marriage with Ayesha R.a when she was 14 off course after she hit puberty.

Every person has three faces 1: A face that he shows to the world 2: A face that he shows to his family and friends 3: A face that he does not show to anyone and this is the real form and face of a person

For me, the crux of the novel is that: Every true love and friendship is a story of unexpected transformation, if we are the same person before and after we loved that means we have not loved enough.

A life without love is of no account. Don't ask your self what kind of love you should seek spiritual or material,divine or mundane,eastern or western....divisions only lead to more divisions love has no label,no definitions. It is what it is,pure nd simple, love is the water of life..
@sarahnaeem5632 Жыл бұрын
I wish everyone could understand that. We do, the rest don't... and this can take a whole lot of toll on that one individual who tries to go against the wind.

I think the way you've interpreted the line, "Don't go with the flow, be the flow." is exactly what it actually means. Like this line is telling you to decide where the flow is headed. It's telling you to stop going with the flow created by others. Rather be the flow, even if it is against the direction other's flow is going. It was fun watching this video.

When i read the lines “Love is the water of life. And a lover is a soul of fire! “The universe turns differently when fire loves water.” , i was completely stuck because of the philosophical picture of a soft self. Moreover, when i read the novel, i used to look at peoples' faces as Shams used to look at others to see the light of God in their faces.

Rabia Api when you talked about it ends with us, you said that it is not a book for children, the forty rules of love should also not be a book that should be allowed to be read by children in my opinion, I know apne kafi time phly prhi thi is liye shayad apko yaad nhi otherwise ap khti zror But I really wanted to include this that We need to find certain metrics for the books to allow children to read them
