The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection system in your Hyundai, or FCA, is designed to help monitor for possible collisions and, if imminent, warn the driver and apply emergency braking. Can I get this installed in a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport? My muther has a 2017 Toyota RAV4, it automatically slows down and goes to same speed as the car in front of you with cruise control on.

I HATE this dangerous tech. Had a Hyundai rental car and it repeatedly locked the brakes up for no reason. It isn't gentle either. It just slams the brakes on and yanks the wheel. For no reason. No where close to hitting anyone or anything. This should be a free option NOT a mandatory feature. I will never buy a car with this horrible dangerous tech in it.

@xcmskim4 Not yet. It's not required by law until 2025. If i can find a 2023 without it I'll buy that and keep it for 10 years. Or at least be able to turn it off permanently. You can do this on the Cadillac CT6.

Do you know which Hyundai car model it was? and what was the make year of that car?

@prateekghosh7962 22 Sonata. Also happened in a Camry and Rav4. The Audi Q50 was the only one so far that seems to work where it gently applies the brake but rapidly. This tech is horribly dangerous. At least make it an option to turn off permanently for those of us who know how to drive.

Me too, after spending top dollar, and buying an enhanced warranty, to have to deal with this hassle is horrible. I will sell the car before tolerating this malfunction which happens just about every time I'm in a highway so far - just with iv the first 1200 miles.
