Neil Adams teaches the skill of Judo Forward Projection
He has won many medals and competitions, including World Championships in 1981 and two Olympic Silver medals in Moscow 1980, and Los Angeles in 1984. He has been Olympic Coach for Great Britain and now for Belgium.
He has now turned his expert hand to aiding those up and coming martial artists, providing technical advice and expertise on an individual basis.

It's a sign of bad teaching when you try to explain something to someone and they don't get it right over and over again when you are saying the same thing. Plus the guy assisting is a black belt............ uke is shorter, much more so, than the guy who is going to prop him back up. Every time he tries to lower his hands to accommodate for this Neil stops him and uke falls under his reach. When the assistant puts his hands within inches of uke, so his hands can follow him better, Neil changes their placement............ You keep setting these guys up in a way where they aren't going to get it. A massive shame as. The drill is fantastic as it means that tori can commit more to uchikomi so half a throw now becomes three quarters of a throw and resetting is very quick.....

Yeah, that was weird. At my school we grab like 1:15 and it's fine. You just need to adjust your feet to leave enough space for tori's foot entry.
