Marianne, thank you once again for an excellent & informative program. You are so talented at breaking down and explaining American history, government, and civics. I would love it if you might do podcasts / youtube videos to teach us more specifically about policies and history, etc. Thanks!

Ro K is awesome! If only we could have many, many more lawmakers like him. The new administration is doing some good things, but has a terrible attitude toward the people who voted them into power! It's cruel & abusive!

The whole department of peace thing is a bit scary in a 1984 kind of way. How long would it be before John Bolton gets appointed to lead it and the department of peace would be recommending occupying a country for humanitarian reasons.
@sadiemakesmesmile3 жыл бұрын
this is already happening through the department of defence
@4CFPV3 жыл бұрын
@@sadiemakesmesmile yup, same concept. There are some very offensively minded people hiding in the dod. Maybe we should rename it to the department of killing humans. Then people might have a more appropriate reaction to it.

Hey Ro tell your bosses to stop wasting people's time with more senseless impeachment. Send people the goddam relief check you guys were promising. Do something substantial for people and start holding your colleagues accountable for their bs.

Bring the Yemenese a good time and build Disney- like rides, slot machines, cafes, dinner theaters, and on all in a huge cooperative collective. Think this through Marianne, on a spirit level.

I want to know why Ro Khanna voted for Nancy Pelosi, and did not #ForceTheVote at a time which offered a SINGULAR opportunity for elected Progressives to wield institutional power, for once. Why do Justice Democrats avoid talking about #MeidcareForAll so studiously of late??? Because of the JD's failure over #FTV, I have decided to avoid voting for Democrats at ANY level of government - Ro should be working harder to change my mind.

In the meantime, what are you doing tho? We can't get subsumed by cynicism no matter how justified it may seem. There's so much on the line

@@TCt83067695 I am plauguing do-nothing elected Progressives to do something Progressive, and to stop licking the Donor-crat boot. What are YOU doing?
@TCt830676953 жыл бұрын
@@Gnongnongnong we know they don't listen to us "plaguing" them. As for what I'm doing, I joined the Slack for #ForceTheVote to strategize on the next steps after the disastrous vote. I'm doing more volunteer work in my community each week too. But I think there are more things we can put our energy towards to get the progressive outcomes we want. I worry a lot of people are just being cynical.

21:04 Sorry but this is the incorrect mindset to have. 1. Yes, Trump has no inalienable right to incite an insurrection on any social media platform without facing consequence 2. The solution isn't for lawmakers to talk or beg Big Tech to make arbitrary, non transparent rules on speaking in a public square. The solution is literally for lawmakers to write laws. Ro is literally a lawmaker. Literally. Pls have on Zephyr Teachout. She understands the solution better.

Ro Khanna is just like every other "progressive" democrat...all talk and NO action. He has let us down so many times, a careerist, like they ALL are. If he is one of your favorites it is because....compared to what? I have seen no sense of urgency in this guy, ever.
