I Have to say this, I use to be a big fan of HIboost, but with the people that are racing in these lobbies, I'm just turned off video after video. Guys swapping out 2JZ's for 10 and 12 cyl motors (nobody who owns a supra in their right mind would do that, even if they had the money) drivetrain swaps on cars like the Grand National, Supra, BR-Z (even if you do a torque split to the rear wheels, an AWD car is an AWD car). It takes the "real life" aspect out of it and i know people are going to bash me and say, "well its a video game" but people who know cars, know that mods such as drivetrain swaps are no walk in the park and are VERY rare or probably not done at all when it comes to drag racing (correct me if I'm wrong). i just feel as a caring viewer, the videos are being watered down and when you watch, it just doesn't make sense. just my opinion CReddy

I think you're looking too much into it, the reason people do AWD swaps to Supras, BR-Z's etc. is to get that real life launch feel, you should know very well the way a RWD car launches in this game is not like how they would in real life at all, this is why we swap the drive train for that effect, put all the torque to the rear to get that spin effect but still get out very hard as say a tuned RWD Supra would in real life, get me? Now for the motor swaps, they simply do it for more power, 2JZ in this game makes 1005, whereas a V10 or V12 would make 1100+, it's pretty simple logic if you played the game, you should feel the same.

HIboostRaceClubRAWHD i know why you guys do it, and yes i have the game. in real life, for the most part, when people are racing on the street, most street cars don't hook up as well as they would on the track, especially when they're running street slicks. same goes for this game, the RWD cars don't hook up as easy b/c, 1. its on the street and not on the drag strip (made for cars to hook up easier, even without slicks) and 2. there aren't drag slicks in the game (the race tires are similar to street slicks in comparison to the thread) which goes back to my other point of street slicks hooking, but not as good as drag slicks. and for the motor swaps i get why you guys do that too (more power), but for me, its just weird hearing a Ferrari or a Lambo motor in my supra or a LT1 in a Evo, you get me? i get some cars are slow with the stock motors they come with, but people in the lobby should understand that and bring cars that are reasonable with those lower end HP cars (Evo X, Evo VIII, R34 etc.) like i said, thats just my opinion and I'm pretty sure some other people feel the same way, and just sharing my thoughts constructively thats all.

blahyou77 The point is the RWD/FWD cars don't hook as they should with the tire it's given in game, you literally have to half throttle it for 1-3 gears depending on the power level, which is ridiculous if you have a good tire pressure and suspension setup, but that's where the AWD swap comes in considering it can't duplicate a real life RWD/FWD launch with a nice suspension and tire setup to go with it, it's simply more fun and realistic if you don't think about it having an AWD drive train. Yes it's weird to hear a Ferrari engine in a Supra, I personally wouldn't swap it in this game cause 1005HP is more than enough for me in the 2J, but it's a game, people go crazy/all out sometimes lol We do run lower HP cars but sometimes we want almost 1000HP in an Evo or MR2 to show up a TT Lambo or something (like it's done in real life), but unfortunately for this game it can only be done with a V8 swap, yes it sucks, I wish I could keep the original motor and still make 1000HP but there's restrictions for these smaller motor cars. All we can do is wait and hope a new racing game comes out with the option to control boost levels and in depth tuning, then there would be no need to swap any motor..well at least almost any lol.

I kind of agree. I don't enjoy just unrealistically modding the absolute shit out of my cars. I keep it reasonable and think what I would like to do if I had the car in real life. In the end though it is a game and it is possible to go for ridiculous amounts of power.
