Forza Horizon 4 - Fortune Island Expansion Introduction (New Map, Treasure Hunt, Trailblazer Stunts)

The first expansion for Forza Horizon 4 called Fortune Island has been released today. Here you can see the first 20 minutes of gameplay from it, which give a decent overview of the new content that is added, with a new map, new weather features, a treasure hunt and a new type of PR stunt.

Just like both FH3 expansions Fortune Island also adds a new map to the game. It is a rough island with thunderstorms and northern lights. I assume that Storm Island from FH2 was probably similar to this but since a lot of people didn't get to play that game it's a welcome theme choice for me.
In the Treasure Hunt you have to complete certain actions to unlock the location of treasure chests. Make sure to read the riddle clues carefully and completely, unlike me in my first attempt, where I did the right thing but with the wrong car.
Finally there is also a new type of PR stunt with Trailblazer, which is basically an offroad speed run, where you have to get from one point to another as fast as possible but don't need to stay on roads.

Do you need to complete the regular map in order to get to fortune island? Or can you buy the expansion and just go right to it?

You probably need to do a little bit of the main game first but not a lot of it. At least that's how it was in FH2 with Storm Island. In FH4 I already had the main game done when the expansion was released, so I can't say for sure but it's probably similar.
