The 2008 Maserati MC12 Versione Corsa is now available as a reward for completing 50% of the Autumn Festive playlist! Sadly it is a trash car for S2-Class. At most, an extremely niche handling S2-Class car. Seeing that I got a bit of Flak for calling a car trash yet winning in lobbies, this time I play S2-Class custom adventure against strong drivers to show how weak this car is compared to others.

Maserati MC12 Versione Corsa S2-Class performance review:
As the title said, it is mostly Trash in S2-Class. Mainly due to the lack of acceleration. The car's PI starts so high up in S2-Class, you can barely fit any extra power for it. The MC12 Corsa has wet penalty like many other extreme track toy Ferraris and Pagani.
It lacks a lot of acceleration for S2-Class. At most, it is a niche handling car for circuit tracks with the Racing V12 swap. It has superb handling at all speeds. As shown at the start of the video, Dirty Air will cause massive understeer on this car.
Overall the MC12 Corsa's poor acceleration makes it a weak choice for Ranked Adventure. At most it is a niche handling car for circuit tracks.

For those not well versed in the motorsport definitions, "Dirty Air" refers to the situation when a high downforce car is closely following another high downforce car (think LMP1 or F1). The resulting slipstream forces the following car to lose most of the downforce at the front of the car but not at the back, which results in a significantly less grip, which naturally results in worse cornering speeds. In FH4 this is only the case for cars that come equipped with adjustable downforce, which is basically only S2 Extreme Track Toys. Those cars that require Forza aero to have adjustable usually won't suffer from this, or at least nowhere near as badly as the ETT cars.

I guess it is due to the cornering of the ETT cars in high speeds coming mostly from the Aero as MOST of them dont seem to boast strong mechanical grip in extremely low Speed sections (hairpins)

When I was testing this car out when I first got it, I thought it would have decent speed and R33 LM FE levels of cornering speed, then I took it on a run against others and had no chance against the 599XX E or even the Senna. The seasonal trial gave me a false sense of security.

It is about trial amd error, if your car has to much over steer and downforce in the back to help stop that, need top speed remove dow force, less wheelspin lower tire pressure.

I've driven the car in s2, it's fast in the corners but lacks the speed in the straights, this is due to the low HP in s2 compared to other cars, combine that with the high DF and you get a short track racecar rather than a long track, which is fine that means it does have a use somewhere,

Yo Suck, I remember that Maserati from Project Gotham Racing. It's a decent car (for its time), but truth is: it's a mid-engine, rwd vehicle that's best on shirt tracks in the turns. At its best, it is a low/mid tier super car. Its worst sticking point is its top speed which as you saw isnt that great. But congrats on your skillz winning the day. P.S.: also congrats on you and your compatriots getting the dev's to finally patch the rammers and wall riders issue. I notice your vids are a lot smoother now. Keep up the good work.

How did u tune it?. It is a back wheel turner ( when you hit the gas the car turns tighter) so make it 4wd, diff settings: front wheels 1% accel, 0% deaccel. Back: 28% accel, 28% deaccel. Overall balance: 99% back wheels

Idk if its just me, but i tuned this car to min downforce to compensate for the poor top end, and the cornering didnt really seem to suffer. What gives? Im super new to the game and would love to know why this occurs

Its not something you'll gradually feel on every corner you take but if you closely pay attention the faster you go the harder it is for it to turn at increasing speed putting that aside you get more tyre slip specially given on the corners for more tight and/or high speed they get taken at, aside that handling should usually stay similar and easygoing with any change in downforce nonetheless only noticeable at extremes that and yoiu may or may not pick up air way easier than with increased downforce

To be clear it has very good handling but the speed is just not there if you tuned to S2, 0-100 around 4.5 sec, where other S2 have a 0-100 of 3.0-3.2-ish. Which is why Grandma call it trash in S2

I wouldn't go as far as to call the Maserati MC12 Versione Corsa trash per se, because it seems to gain a lot of ground on tight corners. I noticed when using this car, that in any race where their are long straights it suffers heavily, but around corners- it significantly benefits from lift-off oversteer. The biggest problem I think in Forza is its mentality that HP is king, Acceleration and how quick you can hit top end is more beneficial than how well you take corners. That being said though, this cars' downforce value is not competitive to the 599XX Evoluzione or the Mosler MT900S, and is very situational dependent to be able to pull out a win.

Hey grandma, I’m not sure if you are aware of this or not, but recently I have discovered the Ferrari 458 italia with nalak28’s tune to be very good for S1 class. I strongly believe that you could get a time of 2:05 at the very least on your test track. Hell, maybe I’ll do a few runs and send you one of them. This car is very good is all I’m saying

I just started watching DUBS recently, but from what I've seen his target for cars is a bit different. He's got a lot of videos about ladder for rivals mode (or what it is called) and open world ladders, so it does seem for him it might be good, considering his last video (trying to get high ladder score in speed zone with this car), when he can tune it up to ridiculous values. Meanwhile Grandma is all about ranked ladder. So yeah, for DUBS and his open world ladders this car might be good, but for ranked ladder it may suck since it's high PI stock and there are huge understeer problems with drafting.

That understeer was not because of dirty air, because if so you would've gotten it everywhere you would've been following a car, plus drafting in freeroam doesn't even work, it was because of you using AWD, and just because it's not good speed wise, it doesn't mean it's trash, of course then, if you swap in AWD it's not gonna gain enough time in the corners as it loses on the straight

Huh? There was no understeer in a solo run. Also AWD swap decrease the car's PI slightly. RWD or AWD, the Corsa simply doesn't have enough acceleration, especially in Ranked races where acceleration is important, not to mention the Ferraris have both acceleration, top speed and cornering.

It is upgraded to S2-Class which there are online lobbies for it. Other youtubers upgrade it to X-class a.k.a fully upgrade it which is perfectly normal, except there are no X-class lobbies unless you host them privately.
