Forza and Playground games has such a strange middle ground between Car Enthusiasts and Little Kids. I feel as though to the majority of us who play the game, the features we want are such no brainers. But to Playground games they really want the game to be ‘social’ so they need to add that chat bar, i feel as tho the line between proper car people and a game for kids is a little blurred. Which is odd because, Growing up with NFS underground or Forza 1 which was customization based and proper Tuner based set me up for a better future in cars and taste. I don’t fully want a bunch of kids to only think that the Fastest top speed car is always the best.

I share a very similar understanding of the way the car list and features are being handled in current Forza Horizons. There are too many gimmicky cars and niche hyper cars that would only appeal to little kids. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure that the little kids far outnumber the car enthusiasts in Forza Horizon games nowadays. I also grew up on Underground and the older Forzas and am not a fan of the direction the games are going with in terms car selection. I have always wanted a Mercedes W123/S123 to appear and am keeping my hopes high since the cover car is a Mercedes. But I know this will never happen 😂

I just want customizable interiors like seats and steering wheels, Pre-tuned cars like in FM2/3/4 (HKS evo, Top Secret S15, RE RX7), more body appearance customization and would be nice to import vinyls through a website like Gran Turismo does. Kinda want a more linear story like FH1/2 too as well. Thankfully growing up i never played those games so I’ll be enjoying them leading up to FH5.

Number 5 is so spot on. I mean in FH4 even common traffc GOLF was a VR6, dozens of them. I would much prefer to take a bone stock 1.4 crap and make it a R32 or wild W12 650, or just have a proper sleeper.

What I do is, I open the Spotify app on my console and have it open in the background as I play any game. I don’t think Forza really needs a Spotify integration because you could do that instead. If they add it anyways I’m alright with that

That's why I want Spotify integrated better plus I'm on that side on the fence of the people who think that sone to most music in the FH1/2/3/4 aren't really that great excluding the legendary ones which ironically are also available on which app...Spotify.

The core problem with more affordable everyday cars is with the appeal towards the target audience, I have seen that in the Forza community people are split into two opinions, one that wants more everyday cars, and one that discourages it, with the community quarrelling like toddlers, I can’t imagine the stress and middle ground that Turn 10 and Playground Games have to land on every time they make decisions in the development for different games

Personally I would just go with what the majority of the community wants. You try to please everyone, and you end up pleasing no one. If JDM cars, Hypercars, and Super Cars are the most requested then that's what you go for. And sure a little variety should be added to keep players from becoming bored. And they have a forum for people to request a car they want. Also tracking what cars get bought and used most is a good idea to use for future selections. Everyone has a odd car that they personally want, but if majority of players don't want it and won't use that car then I'm just going to have accept that reality. That's why we don't have costume racing lobbys anymore and why we don't have X class racing. The smaller percentage of players who race in C, D, and E class were complaining about not finding any racing lobbys. So they yanked X class out which most likely has a higher percentage of racers then C-E class combined.

Window Decals were awesome! And i would love to have a complete interior view while driving. I loved this in Test Drive Unlimited 2. Interior view, look back and you see the rear seats and just what is inside the window. This is more immersive. Loved that in the old days.

The best feature was the car club garage back in Horizon 1. We had all the rare or hardly earnable cars in one place for everybody to get a chance to take the keys for a trial.

We definitely need engine tuning, at least for drag racing only. The trial and error game was always fun in NFS ProStreet. Remember when every car in the lobby had different HP even though they're all the same and fully upgraded car? Exactly! It'll also make things much more exciting when it comes to comparing cars with your friends and randoms

I would love to have a suspension which you could switch between low/stiff and high/soft on the fly while the car is driving. Maybe they could implement this because of the two modes the AMG Project one has... It should be customizable, tho. It should allow for two Presets. For example: Preset 1: Custom Off road setting + Preset 2: Custom Track setting. This could allow for a brand new and more dynamic racing class!

Man I'd love having everyday cars in the game. They are so generic that they probably would get a cult following and some may end up as sleepers. Like imagine driving- BMW i3 Honda Accord Honda Civic Coupe Chevrolet Cruze Ford Fusion Smart Fortwo Nissan Sentra Acura TLX Etc. Another thing, everyone has seen Chinese automakers suddenly produce some rapid pieces of machinery. Lynk and Co, Nio, Qiantu, etc. and I think having these would spice things up a bit.

If there’s any car I’d love to have in Forza is my father’s 2016 Mazda 3 sedan 2.0 skyactive. It has 120 hp, long wheelbase, 1300kg, fwd and could have loads of Forza tuning potential. Did I mention that it’s built either in Japan or Mexico?

I have given up on hoping for an imperial/metric combination in the settings even though I would love this feature. I don't know miles, but I don't know KW either. For everyday cars, I would bring up Kia Picanto or Opel Vectra, because for some people, they might be more fun to drive than supercars or muscle cars on off-road tracks. Other choices would be Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen Phaeton.

small note about using spotify in game. I use a corsair k90 keyboard, which has media control keys. These keys work with spotify even if the app is in the background. So even if I'm in game I can still switch songs or pause/play music. Using these keys also doesn't interfere with my controller. This obviously doesn't help everyone, but if you do happen to have dedicated media keys there's a chance you can have a fairly seamless listening experience while playing forza.

You can play Spotify in the background. You just travel to mute game music. Once set up you can change the song via Alexa or the Spotify app on your phone.

About the last one.. Idk about you guys but when in xbox, ps4 or my pc playing a game I'm already familiar with all music it offers, I just open the spotify app in the background and play the game with its music off.. I'm a low end gamer so I basically play NFSU2 on pc, but whenever I play with my brother on consoles he always puts a song on and controls it through the menu without having to close the game, much like the horizon stations, with one button press more.. It's still quite convenient

Agreed with all of em , another little thing i want is that the Forza developers "studied" the cars they bring into the game , in fh4 there are quite a few cars that aren't like their real life counterparts.. for example , the Lancia Delta S4 is a twincharged 5cl rally monster in real life , yet it really feels like its a 4cl and only turbochcharged

One thing I fell like they should add it is hydraulics because with out it they are leaving an entire part of thee car community out. And with hydraulics would come new cars/trucks that would have plenty customizations. For example a chevy s10 it is an everyday car the you mentioned but can be easily modified into almost anything like a drag car, off-road car, track car, or have crazy hydraulics. What do you guys think?

Forza needs to build a proper physics model for automatic transmissions. If you open the telemetry with automatic shifting enabled, the clutch will still engage and disengage just like when in manual shifting. Being able to feel the torque converter and clutch packs operating as they should on cars with automatic transmissions would add another layer of diversity to the Forza franchise

So with you man. 99.9% of the cars are a simulated synchromesh gearbox. no dcts, dsg, no autos or cvts let alone a sequential dogbox. only cvt is on the Polaris. The ford a10r80 10speed is just no fun as a ten speed manual.

How is no one addressing the lack of damage modelling? I've heard people let the developers off the hook by saying that the car manufacturers wont allow it, but then how does beam ng get away with it? There's real cars in that game, a ton in fact

I need need need the mazdaspeed 3 (1st and 2nd gen) and the mazdaspeed 6. its been a while since they've been drivable in any driving game. It sucked that the mazdaspeed 3 was a traffic car in fh4, but not drivable. Surely it wouldn't have been hard to do considering you could drive it in FH3

Touching on the Nissan Tsuru, we needn't forget the SE-R Sentra. From 1991 to 1994, Nissan had a run of SE-R Sentras that were all coupes and had an SR20. Their lightweight, independent rear suspension and the SR20 made it a pretty good track car. The SE-R name carried onto the B14 in the form of the 200sx, and then in 2002, it returned in the form of both the SE-R and SE-R Spec V. Sadly, the B14 and newer had a solid rear beam that made track use more difficult.

I think they should create an “instance” garage or parking lot where people can bring their cars, park them and you can get out and walk around in the designated area to see all the cars and just voice chat with other people. I think they need to add tune based stat bars for performance. Too many people don't realize the Mosler is faster with the V8 than the Ferrari v-12 and I blame the stat bars. The V12 has a higher rev limiter which allows a higher top speed with base gear ratios. However, the V8 has more horsepower and twice as much torque, allowing it to reach higher top speeds faster.

I really hope they add different driving modes, like, sport, terra, etc. it would be really cool to see for example the Mclaren P1 with its wing down, not up all the time like it is on horizon 4. It would also be cool if the different driving modes did stuff, like higher speed, faster 0-100 etc. Just my opinion
