This map looks like the best map they've ever done. I love the Horizon series because it's almost like a mental escape from reality, which is one of the reasons I really wasn't a huge fan of the map in FH4 because of how dreary it could get. Also, love the detailed commentary on this video. You really sold it, both figuratively and literally!

Yeah its a nice change of pace. I jumped on 4 the other night and just drove around normal. 50-75mph everywhere just zoned out chillin. I have a Fanatec wheel setup with an h pattern shifter so it was almost like driving around in real life, but without the fuel cost lol

We should have the ability to make custom races with our garage cars so we can make arranged grids with liveries and cars that that actually all match or make sense racing each other, rather than races filled with cars from different continents and eras with no coordination, you can drive a ford ranger in a race and have it put you up against ford focuses fiestas mustangs and australian only falcons and out of the whole mess of a grid just two of them will have some random unrelated liveries so you end up racing an ambulance and a drift car alongside all the stock cars. And the ai convoys feature with drivatars in freeroam from Horizon 3 needs to return, so we can drive the map with themed cars from our garage racing and cruising alongside, drift cars rally cars arch rivals or different specs of the same car, whatever themes we want we should be able to make in convoys and custom races.

This map is amazing, but honestly, the only missing thing is a big modern city like surfers paradise from fh3. That would of completed it for me

Yea i thought the same, there are lots of big modern cities here in México, i don’t know why they didn’t add one of them, Monterrey is a huge city with lots of skyscrapers, or CDMX has some really good looking spots, i think they went for Guanajuato cuz its a stereotypical mexican town.

Initial thoughts on the game were that it feels like a huge mashup of Horizon 2 and 3. Very good first impressions, I think people are really going to like this game!

Handling feels really solid! Feels just like a Horizon game as you would expect, but just better. I mainly noticed a big difference when I started off-roading, the offroaders feel way, way more grippy, It's good!

This has been a thing since the last horizon game. In horizon 4, fortune island expansion, you could experience similar sense of altitude. They have imporoved on it though

when I played forza horizon 1, I fell in love with the map design and the game itself, ever since then none of the forza horizon games after it have satisfied me in giving fh1 vibes, but even though there campaign is not going back, at least they are going back to fh1 for map design, the diversity of the biomes, the curvy and thight roads, the scenery and the different types of roads, I mean look at 6:35, reminds me of the south side of the forza horizon 1 map with all the curvy roads and the canyons aswell as the big bridge, And don't get me started on the different biomes in fh5, reminds me of fh1's biodiversity and lastly the scenes, like 5:20 5:01 8:25 9:52 13:57 woah these look better than fh2 and thats saying alot, I hope the game satisfies the OG's like me who loved fh1 and the newbies who loved fh3 and fh4

I'm satisfied with the map considering I've played them all. I don't think we'll ever get a Horizon that feels like 1 though, that's searching for something unique. The other games don't feel that way but they do give other unique feelings.

definitely looks much more open with mostly low shrub & small trees, rather than like FH4 where large trees are all over the place. not a bad thing actually, it give a much better sense of scale even if just driving on low level ground as you can see much much further in all directions. heh, the puny airstrip in FH4 hold no candle to this one; there's even planes here! BIG PLANES!!!
