Could we also talk about the fact that blow off sounds are based off of throttle input and not how much pressure there is. I've had it where I would be at -12 psi and just very slowly coming off the throttle and all of the sudden I'll get this loud STU STU STU STU STU STU for no reason.

Horizon 5's car sounds are less agressive because they feel like they're in an open world. Driving around Guanajuato or through the canyons or a tunnel will have louder sounds due to the sound bouncing off the environment, while it normally would just radiate through the environment when driving through the desert or highway. This is also why cars sound louder and more agressive on the upgrade screen when compared to the sounds on the open road.

1:52 pretty sure they gave the CCGT the Jesko sound and vice-versa. Jesko is a flat plane crank IRL, while the CCGT should sound like any other contemporary 'egg with a cross plane (just with a race exhaust because obviously). Similar situation to the E46 / Z33.

DUDE the suspension flex idea is amazing! I really think that could go a long way to make some of the supercars feel so much more real. that clip from PC3 was so cool to watch, the car felt like 1 and a half ton monster and not like a toy like how most of the supercars in horizon feel

The issue is that a lot of people want every car to sound like Fast and Furious. The RX-7and the R34 honestly sounds fine as it is I'd honestly say the same about the E60. Honestly the EB110 sounds more accurate than FH2. The EB 110 is supposed to have a deeper rumble rather than a scream but It does need improvement. I think we can all agree that the zondas need work though.

Rx7 and r34 sounds unrealistic in almost all games but unrealistic or not it should atleast sound good . It revs to 9k for no reason the real r34 GTR revs to 8k . Assetto Corsa r34 GTR sounds better but like a single turbo mod, you can download twin turbo sound for ac . Forza disappointed me that even the new game has so many problems. Rx7 sounds a bit tuned the real sound is like a muffled 2 stroke and you get a sort of whine sound

right now FCA Italy [Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Abarth] are undergoing a massive company shift similar to what was happening with Mitsubishi during fh4's release meaning that whenever they get their shit together playground can just re-send the licencing request (as there wasn't anybody to facilitate saying yes to anything due to the massive shuffle) and port whatever they want across from fh4 or add new stuff

I'd honestly say the Z4 sounds pretty accurate! Ive heard quite a few B58s with aftermarket exhausts that sound like an RB! I don't think they should change it. Even the original B58 has the same pitch as an RB except it has a loud rasp/burble to it.

Same with the m2. As an m2 owner since 2016, I’ve never understood how people think the fh3 sound is good. It sounds so incredibly unlike an m2. It’s actually the one thing that put me off driving it more in fh3. Although the fh5 sound is the s55 from the m2 competition, it sounds amazingly realistic to the m2 comp!

The Pagani Zonda uses the sound from the OG Zonda C12 which is why it sounds so muted, the Zonda F in PGR4 made the same mistake.

Small correction. Skyline R34 in Grid is Z-Tune, that means it have Engine based on GT2/GT500 car and 2.8l displacement. In FH5 you can actually tune exhaust to get similar sound ;)

Some of the car sound that don't sound good on stock can be fixed with the exhaust, intake, and cams (if the rpm scream is not right) upgrades if they are available to make them sound closer to real life. This is a very subjective video I agree on some but I do not on others, I still appreciate your suggestions and effort though. Overall I'm just happy the car sounds in FH5 are amazing even with the massive car list of the game.

@@4xbuu They might share the similar engine but they don't sound the same in real world.(Also the F90 uses the newest version of S63,which is called S63b44T4. The X6M uses S63b44T0,and the M5 F10 uses the basic version of S63) If you listen carefully,you would have understand that the F90 sounds different with others. Btw in Fh5,X5 and X6 don't sound accurate. But the F90 isn't bad. Still not as goos as Nfs heat's sound. However it sounds 100% better than what it was in Fh4. Cheers 🍻

Thank you for your effort, I hope you send this to PG Games multiple times so they actually see it. I agree on every car in your video but I think the LaFerrari sounds more accurate in FH5 than in FH2. If I had to add something then it would be that the flaps seem to be always closed on cars with flap exhaust systems, for example the GT3 RS or the C7 Z06. Turbo sounds are almost non existent, they really suck in FH5. I like the modern V12 Ferrari sounds in FH5 but all the XX Ferraris need to be way more extreme, they are staight piped and way louder, same goes for the Zonda R and the MC12 Corsa.

Not sure about the 240sx sound. The Heat/Payback s13 uses an SR20DET (cuz it’s the 180sx type x) while the 240sx s13 uses the KA24DE (These came in the US S13s) I think the KA in FH5 could be better but I think it’s fine. Prostreet I think had a better KA24 sound.

one thing ive noticed across the board is that if you put turbos on a car it hardly changes the sound. Previous horizon games had more turbo noise but it was never close to enough. I want to hear more of the spool

I think the gt3 rs in fh5 sounds the most athentic out of all the games shown. The shifts match perfectly and it sounds like a proper flat 6 considering the fact that a gt3 rs doesnt sounds very raw because of emission regulations. I think they did the gt3 rs brilliant.

While the e46 M3 is not perfect, I do enjoy the sound with the right mods. An exhaust upgrade +1 with a big turbo And air box upgrade +1= HPF turbo M3. I can tell they used the HPF e46 sound file for the turbo e46

The Zonda C has a sound file bug in FH3 After upgrading the engine parts on the car the engine’s pitch drops. To fix this, swap out of the car and back in it, and it will be a lot higher pitched than shown in the video👍

The Honda nsx-r 92' with race exhaust has now the sound file of the E46 M3. The M3 E46 still has the V6 sound tho. But the Fairlady sound is fixed now. I feel like they mixed up all i6' and v6' sounds.

The Rx7 needs to sound more raw if yknow what I mean. The brapbrap should be louder when the car is modded. Idk why they're so shy to make the rotary sound powerful and it needs the anti-lag. It sounds way better than FH4 tho no cap 😂

I think horizon 1 and 2 still used Forza Motorsport 4s engine sounds, that's why some of them sound so good. Especially the 4 cylinder vtecs

by the way, the muffle from the e60 m5 at the end was i believe a sound bug. Some cars sound muffled when you start the game up, and when I tried it it sounded much better and less muffled.

I feel the car noises since FH3 onwards have been a result of the people in charge with the final mix of the ingame sounds not liking how treble heavy these engines can get at times and with Horizon getting bigger and bigger they perhaps thought the casual player would get annoyed by the game having such a bright sound constantly. I noticed that in FM7 the engine seem to retain a decent amount of treble but in FH4-5 (and 3 to some extent) all the engine sounds are very low end and quieter.

For the carrera GT just take the LFA sound and mix it a little different would be my suggestion to the devs

The P1 has been my favorite car since about 2015, and im only 14 years old. I've never played Asetto but i can say the p1 sound is almost uncanny. The high RPMs are a bit muffled, but for the most part it's bang on. It's always been painfulltat forza has never really gotten the p1 sound right. Fh5 is the closest they've got, but my personal favorite sound for the p1 in a racing game is nfs heat. The rev rangeis perfect, not too low or high, and with some tweaking,it has become one of my favorite car sounds in any video game. That might just be a bit biased tho :)

I think 240SX best sounded in Underground 2 with it's raspy KA24 note! And R35 sounded the best in 2015, I love how deep that VR38 note is! Same with WRX that it sounded amazing in Underground 2 with that crazy Boxer rumbling!

to hell with the tweaks first sound update feature MUST be the turbo flutter, it's on max volume even when you let off around 2k rpm and when you UPSHIFT STANDING STILL

The Z4 M40i is not using the RB26 sound file. It's the R34 that is using both Z4 and A90 Supra's soundfile (which logically is the same) when using the race exhaust. Hence why we hear the "farts" while shifting, on the R34...
