Just finished an online race with this car and it is a demon in sprint races. Just tune it as a high downforce RWD build and it flies out of high speed turns like a bat out of hell.

Honestly, I think the 991.2 'gt' models are some of the nicest road cars Porsche has made to date, prettier in my opinion than the 992's, though they are very nice too. The speedster absolutely deserves a spot and is by no means worse than the new 992 gt3's, other than its lack of the new double wishbone suspension which reduces some of the understeer. I would love for the 991.2 gt3 to be added to the game, alongside the RS and speedster. l can't think of another game that made an appearance in yet ether.

I understand where you're coming from, Nick, but there are certain things that would explain why the new GT3 isn't currently in the game. Licensing is only one aspect of the issue. Scanning and modeling take a lot of time, and when you consider that pretty much every one of these car pass cars were chosen, scanned, and modeled before Horizon 5 was even released, it makes sense that there aren't more current models in the game. The new GT3 just came out at the end of last year, which is the same time that Horizon 5 was launched. There simply isn't enough time between then and now to work on getting more 2021/2022 cars in the game, when work needs to be done on all of the other aspects of the game, including seasonal updates and the next expansion. That's just a reality of video game development and production. If Playground Games were to speed up that process, it would likely lead to worse results than some of the things we've already been dealing with, like modeling errors, glitches, and sub-par optimization. I'm right there with you, hoping that we get the new 911 GT3 (maybe even the RS) in the game, but it takes time, and shortcuts cannot and should not be taken for the sake of expediency.

The one issue I have with Horizon 5 / Playground games is they barely add any new 2021/2022 model cars, or even any cars fans ask for. I know licensing is a long process but the need to try harder, especially since they have that Microsoft money

for s1 focus more on power and less on grip. I try for around 900-1000 hp s1 and that is for a semi slick light weight rwd car with downforce, so try that

the 911 gt3 was revealed in feb last year. this does mean that the car has surpassed the approx 1 year to make a car. however, the nismo gtr came out after over 1 year but had a widebody kit. this could suggest that the 911 gt3 will have some cool customisation potentially with a kit to turn it into the gt3 cup car. or it is the cover car for the new motorsport game. the car should have come in fh4 but i think covid affected it. i feel like nick was being a bit demanding but i understand his point but the devs do want to add the newest car asap

when putting the roof on, its not a glitch. it just does have an automatic way of putting it down meaning you need to get out of the car and do it yourself

To be fair we already have like 4 GT3s and no convertible 911s so far, so I'm happier with this one. Not that I use any of them, so... I know even in real life, 911s and 458s/488s etc are rivals, but the 911 just doesn't look like a supercar thus doesn't fit my S1 lineup (yea, possibly ocd/adhd whatever it is)
