Forza Horizon 6 Not Releasing in 2024?

Can't say that waiting 2-3 more years for FH6 is appealing but if its truly next level in a good location with new features it'd be worth it. They'll definitely have to do more than just monthly updates to maintain interest for that period. They've been doing good on the updates lately for sure. I'm certainly interested in the new Motorsport title as well as Crew Motorfest & Test Drive Solar Crown. Plenty of racing games to explore & keep you busy till FH6.

I see the issue. I doubt they can keep FH5 fresh for 2-3 more years (they struggle just month to month already). FM may keep some fans interested, but won’t appeal to all FH fans. If FM is as bad as FM7 was (glitchy to this day. Horrible career mode that forces you to grind. And this is coming from someone who stills plays GT1.2, and 4 to this day. Just as I did when they came out. Yeah, I’m old). With new racing games that are in the same vein as FH already coming along soon, they may just jump to those games. Especially if those other games don’t revert to “new” updates every week to force players into playing them every week (I personally only have a few hours a week to play video games and if I play FH5 to get whatever new cars are added, I don’t have time play other games that also like). If those other games are good enough, players may not return to FH6 in 2-3 years. FH had an advantage, it was really the only good open world racer out there for years, but that has huge potential to change.

Outside of the next Forza Horizon game being fully next gen, I think what is more interesting is how the development of Fable could positively impact future Horizon games. Because Fable requires a bunch of new tools and features to be added to the Forza engine, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of those features make its way into Horizon. Stuff as simply walking around in 3rd person would be easier to implement now. We can already see that their facial animations with the recent Fable tease has vastly improved.

I think this is much needed. The next FH6 game needs to be next gen only and MS needs to let go of the older consoles. But lets hope the extra time does pay off and we get a really true next gen game from Playground Games.

The only thing I genuinely hope for in Horizon 6 is that there's an actual, linear Story where we get rewarded for progressing through it. No weekly/monthly "challenges" tied to it, and it can't be anything like the "Stories" we currently have ingame, cause theyre barely a Story to begin with, more a side activity with no enticing reward for completion.

Also another thing to take into consideration is that a lot of current fh5 car sounds aren’t really that accurate, F450 dodge hellcats and demons, some stangs, Maros just sound off they may be doing a full clean sweep of the game to try and make the perfect forza game and taking data and feedback from previous games for the next instalment of the series.

This way, for Cars, such as the BNR34 that are still illegal Stateside as they are not yet 25 Years Old, but are Legal (Although Factory Stock Examples are Extremely Rare and will take Time to Source!!) and available here, can have their Scan and Record done at, say, Bicester Heritage by Wushu Studios, and then Shared with Turn 10. While Cars that are not Legal here, such as the RZ34 (due to not meeting EU Emissions Law (I think the Engine is only Euro 5, the Minimal on Petrol Engines is now Euro 7B! with *massive* Fines for failure to Comply!) and the EU Sportscar Market being too small to make it even Remotely Financially Viable for Nissan to make the VR30DDTT Euro 7B Compliant or Re-Engineer the Car for the Alpine A110's 300 HP Euro 7B 4 Cylinder...most annoying!) can be Recorded and Scanned by Turn 10 over at Jay Leno's Garage and then Shared with PGG. That Closer Collaboration between Microsoft Europe and Microsoft US would sort the Problem, and be a Lot Cheaper than opening up a Sub Branch of PGG in the US and/or a Sub Branch of T10 in the UK.

Personally I think the devs will have to continue supporting FH5 until FH6 comes out or otherwise they’ll be losing most of their fan base again, and I’m pretty sure they don’t want that to happen. Also i think that the new 4-5 or even 5-6 life cycle is kind of good,not only does it mean they have more time to develop a future game but also all the players on Xbox one, one s and one x can easily get a series s or x within that time frame ready for the new games,Everybody wins!

I can't say I expected it to ever be released in 2024. A lot of companies have slowed down production of games. Now, whether it be less people on the development team, or lack of creativity, is up for interpretation. Many reasons can be thrown out there, but it really just comes down to planning and execution. How much content do they want to add? More content means more licenses, more models to render, possibly more cinematics and storyboarding. All-in-all, that means more money needs to be thrown at the project to go through, to pay employees, copyrights and production equipment. The more time we give them, the more time they have to improve, adapt, and overall fulfill the task of creating the biggest and best Forza game to date.

If it's gonna be five years for horizon games I say that's good cause hopefully it'll mean a full on city for once in the franchise (except for FH3 of course) and maybe we'll finally have gas stations back, car meets, parking lots, and parking decks, interior customization, a better turning degree for the steering wheel (I don't know what it's actually called) more wheel customization like for an example mix match rims and more and also if us the community have survived 3 years for FH5 then we can survive 5 years for FH6. Unfortunately, as, with the Exception of Hong Kong, where it is currently Permitted (but how long for, I know not) Car Modification is Strictly Illegal in China, these brands are worried that being seen to be connected to Car Modification, as Selected Western Console Games, such as Forza Horizon, are now Legal for Sale in China (before 2016 however they were only Legal in Hong Kong and the Shanghai free trade zone, now, Selected Console Titles are allowed on sale across the whole of their Country) could result in PR Image Damage and loss of Sales in the Chinese Market, as a Result, to Protect their Image and Sales, they are coming down hard NO on Customization, and forbidding some types Entirely, out of fear of being seen to support Car customization and Street Racing Culture, which would Cripple their Sales in China. It is, and this is from someone who can take or leave customization, it is nice to have it, but It is not mandatory for me as I find customizing quite boring as I am more into Collecting, an absolute Pain!

I see it as a good thing. Giving game more time in the oven will give dev team time to consider and test actual improvements, instead of recycling as much as posible to push it out of door.

I think as much as the wait would be a pain but it could be worth it, because it will give the developers more than enough time to give us what we want, perhaps an enormous Japanese map giving us everything we wanted. Yes it won't be a 1:1 scale map but it might be bigger than Horizon 5's map and would include lots of roads we wanted. It may also give the developers time to implement modifications we wanted and to remodel the cars that need remodelling. For those that can't tell what car models are old the best way to tell is if you go into Forzavista mode and explode the car and if all that opens is the 2 front doors then that is an old model that needs remodeled.

If they really want to make fh5 last longer than they need to add 1 or 2 more expansions and some more barn finds. Every expansion from fh2-4 had barn finds. I think fh 2 had them, I haven't played the expansions in that one. And in fh3 they kept adding barn finds in the weekly/ monthly challenges until there was 20 barns total. Fh4 had several barns that had no cars in them and I the ink there are some in fh5.

I'm not entirely sure a title is sustainable long term without community modding being possible. Assetto Corsa, as we know it today exists because of modding, and I would argue with all the community support it has, it is by far the best car game you can get on a PC. due to licensing issues, I understand why they May be hesitant on modding, but if they enabled mods on PC FH5 would raise to another echelon of popularity

It makes sense that Playground Games will not release Forza Horizon 6 in 2024. Every Horizon game they make has to top the previous Horizon game and 6 will not be released for Xbox One, instead it will be released for Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10/11, and Steam.

Probably cause it’s gonna be a complicated and complex map, Japan possibly cause it’s a dense city that’s super illuminated with neon and jumbotrons I can see why it’s gonna be way longer. That’s if it’s Japan but it could be another insanely dense country of the world

Japan has got Nothing going for it as a Horizon Location In My Opinion. I just cannot see the Appeal I am afraid. FH6, IMO, needs to be Either set in Germany (where the Car was Invented and where they have a *very* Horizon Esque Car Culture! ), Spain (Where FH5 should have been set IMO), Croatia & Montenegro (like how FH2 had France and Italy, but even Prettier!) , a 1:1 Scale Isle of Man (they will need to add Bikes if they do that one however!) or a 1:1 Scale Isle of Wight (check out the "Isle of Wight takeover" , it basically *Is* Forza Horizon come to Life!) , the Hyper Exotic Locations, which may as well be Mars for Me, just do nothing for Me I am afraid

Glad i have time to save some money for a new Gpu, FH5 runs well on my RTX 3060 V2 oc, for FH6 im gonna get like a 4070 or 4080. Maybe we even have the 50 series Nvidia gpus in 2025

I hope that FH6 doesn't use the same engine as the new FM. That game is in bad shape considering how long it was in development for. FH5 looks way better than FM and play better too imo. I really feel like T10 focused on the wrong things with the new FM. It actually makes me appreciate GT7 more tbh.

Horizon and Motorsport are 2 different studios. Horizon = Playgrund Games, Motorsport = Turn10

I really hope fh6 will support the one x. I know it's apart of the one series but the One X is basically the series s and x without an SSD. If you put an SSD in the one x it is the same speed as the series s. The one x is only 6 years old

For me, the biggest issue that ruins the games feel for me is the size of the roads, it breaks all immersion, sense of speed/sensation, driveability, etc. It just takes the fun out of the game for me, I feel like they are catering way to much for non-car people, and as a result of that it's ruining the game for the true fans of the franchise. I hope they don't continue this trend. I understand the need to cater for a wider audience but widening the roads anymore then the truly are in the real life counterpart or than horizon 1 or 2 is not the way. This has been proven by 1 and 2 aswell, although the roads weren't as wide as they are in current games, it didn't stop new players and non-car people from enjoying it or playing it. I hope they change this disappointing Trend in the current Forza games for Forza Horizon 6

I would like to see the Benelux countries used for the next game. Holland for the beautiful flowers and wide open fields, and the canals and harbours.Belgium for the mining areas and big factory buildings. And Luxemburg for the mountain type roads and switchbacks.

@@trevorwhitham6742 Imagine a street race from Amsrterdam through Holland, to the south of Belgium, and up to to Luxemberg city.The road from Luik/Liege in southern Belgium to Luxemberg is a really steep uphill climb most of the way, it has really beautiful views.Stunning road.
