Either you must be very young or just a blind fanboy. The OG Xbox/360 Forza games have much more detail in the damage model than this piece of software failure of a "Game" that is FM8. Yes, it's the 8th installment of the series so I am going to call it that.

Back in the day on FM2-4 I would spend hours with my friends sending cars down the Mulsanne straight just to flip them in the gravel pit at the end or ram into eachother for hours on end

Forza Motorsport disappointed me. I don't feel a big jump between 7 and 8. I think I'll go back to Project Cars 2. Which was always better than FM

Well the crashes look pretty bad but that’s not and has never been the strength or focus of Forza (especially Motorsport) 😅 Idc tho, if I want to crash cars I play BeamNG, if I want the most realistic driving physics on real tracks then I’m going for Forza…

Always fun to watch crashes in game but man what is the point of giving the cars any cosmetic damage at all if they can only become a little dented? I know people will say "well talk to the manufactures" but what I'm saying is that if they don't want their cars to show damage why put it in the game to begin with.......just seems like wasted time and man power

I’ve never really seen any good car damage except in BeamNG so far. But in Forza a realistic damage model would be almost useless imo since you always try to avoid crashes anyways and they only rarely occur, except small collisions that cause scratches. And even if a bad accident is going to happen in the game most people are rewinding already 😅 The game is more about realistic races and driving physics.

because the devs want more cars in the game because fans will cry if they don't see X car in the game.. So devs have to come to agreements with car makers when it comes to what sort of damage is allowed.. And since crashing isn't the focus of Forza it's a sacrifice they're willing to make. If you want better crash physics you alread have Beam NG
