@oi118 The layout is altered, the kerbs are all wrong, the trees are spammed randomly, the track clearly isn't scanned because it's incredibly smooth, and adding flags and shit on the side isn't realistic to the real track. The only problem GT7 has is its an older scan, so some buildings or structures may or may not be present irl at this moment. The most inferior version of the nurbergring in all of sim racing is in FM23. It doesn't even stack up to older games, let alone anything newer.

@@vyasrushi5177 And that's the sad thing. It was mostly added later and it's as bare bones as possible. Even that is still better than what forza could do. But if you want the true single player experience iRacing still holds that candle hands down. A lot of people think of racing other online when they play iRacing, I used the AI for practice and even as a top split driver my racing improved drastically as the AI taught me better techniques to use while also racing with me. No need to cheat either, if they can do it, you can do it too!

UPD: Now that I re-watched the no-commentary part of the video comparison specifically, I can tell you what I believe is wrong with Forza, at least in my eyes. You see, Forza might look beautiful in some ways (like I've seen people praising its more 'cinematic' look, and I agree, forza does look 'cinematic' at times) - the lighting, the color filters/tonemapping, etc. etc. But then BOOM, you catch some pretty ugly tree sprites, BAM, some grass patches stand out in all their shadow-NOT-casting glory, then YIKES the ugly blocky pixelated mess of a shadow filtering right from FH4 ruining otherwise picturesque road covered in long shadows. And the visual joy falls apart. On the other hand, GT7 doesn't suffer from that in my book. Sure the foliage isn't that lush, grass patches don't cast shadows either, and the game doesn't have any penumbra soft shadows filtering as well. BUT GT7 looks and feels like a more coherent, perfectly balanced mixture of visuals that covers for each other's weak sides, while also multiplying all the strong qualities as a whole. Everything looks and works together wonderfully! The package in result is increadibly pleasing to eyes, and despite not operating using industry leading tech, it still looks and appears FANTASTIC. The foliage might be more sparse, but it has better overall quality, the grass looks shorter and doesn't stick out that much, and the shadows might be uniformly filtered w/out any penumbras but GT7's PHENOMENALLY balanced exposure and physically correct lighting & materials do cover up for this in a way that I stop noticing that, and I admire the gorgeous PBR all across the board instead. GT7 is visually stunning to the point where I stop caring for its little flaws, they just don't matter to me. In other words, if I got to evaluate visuals in %, I would give Forza something around 50%-55%, and for GT7 I guess, say, 85%-90%. Of course it's still not 100%, but it's fine by me 'as is' already.

Llevo jugando a este nuevo Forza desde el día que salió y a pesar de que tiene que mejorar algunos apartados, en otros es impresionante. Sobretodo por las físicas, son lo más realista de todo lo que he jugado hasta hoy. Tengo un Thrusmaster T818 no sé si con otros volantes va mejor o peor. A Forza le faltan más circuitos, un modo campaña o carrera, mejorar la agresividad absurda de la IA y añadir algunas opciones más para crear tus propias carreras.

You know what is shocking to me? Some people still say how FM23 has better looking trees than GT7. Like 'ewww ps3 era sprite trees in gt7, gross' kinda stuff. And I admit, when I played FM23 myself (sadly I don't own a PS console) it did feel like FM23 trees had some edge (but I wouldn't call GT7 trees 'ps3 era sprites'). But then I realized - it's all in the motion. Forza trees look better in motion, because the moment I looked closely I saw how Forza still has those ugly mofos cross-placed 2D planes for their trees. And in motion they do look fine, but when stationary - good lord they're ugly. While in GT7 I don't know what magic devs are using there, and if those are really 2D sprites, or not - but trees in GT7 look better in all conditions, no matter how I look at them - while someone's driving (in motion) or standing still. They just feel more like trees to my eyes, and the difference (despite might be subtle to some) is huge, really. I'm that kinda person who can't unsee a thing once looked it up in detail, and now those ugly tree sprites in Forza just stand out like a sore thumb. GT7 foliage doesn't have that immersion breaking to me. And this is where I genuinely don't understand where do all those GT7 foliage haters come from.
