Just bought a Fosi BT30D, amazing little amp, I bought for desktop PC use but tried it out on my main stereo, it was driving large floor standers no problem and good sound quality as well.

I have the same Fosi TB20A. I made a a blue tooth speaker with it. I made a box for 4 5.25inch 3 way speaker powered by this Fosi bluetooth amp. My son has a dr. dre beats pill and in no way, shape or form does it compares to the Fosi. The Fosi is 12v to 24v and i use one of my Ryobi 18v battery to power this thing .

This amp needs more reviews. There are some others for less form Lepai, Dayton, SMSL and Micca, but none claim 100 Watts. Someone needs to put this on a test bench.

Jeff Sloane What test would you like to see?
@jeffsloane86285 жыл бұрын
@@nmathree89 I'd like to see the amplifier connected to a test bench to see if it really outputs 100 Watts per channel into an 8 ohm load. Even if it did 50 Watts per channel that would be impressive, assuming the THD is reasonable. I have the Lepai amp that does something like 12 Watts max into 8 ohms, but it begins to audibly distort at 45% of its volume.

@@jeffsloane8628 It's a very nice little amp, it's been trouble free since I first hooked it up to the old Fishers. I don't understand your comment to start about the Fisher's being vintage speakers and something about new receivers not working well with them?!? Care to explain what you mean?
@nmathree893 жыл бұрын
Sure, most new receivers aren't designed for simple two channel hook up. For example, these same speakers used as the front left and right in my 5.1 Sony receiver get no low end frequency as the receiver is designed to use a subwoofer. Of course there are modern full size receivers designed with dedicated two channel sound ability, but they are a much larger investment than the little Fosi I mention here. Two channel receivers from Yamaha, Denon, Onkyo, etc. would definitely out perform the Fosi. But for the price and convenience in this small room set up, the Fosi was and is pretty cool. And sounds great (though my low budget mic I recorded with suggests otherwise). Thanks!

Came across your video looking for a review on the Fosi BT30D or BT30E. I like that these amps have ports for both passive or active subwoofers (incase I ditch my active and go to a compact passive sub). How has the BT20A been holding up? Figured if it's still working 1.5 yrs later it must be good quality.
@nmathree894 жыл бұрын
It's been trouble free. It's now powering a pair of Bose 301s and able to make beautiful sound reproduction and has plenty of power. It's still the best bluetooth connected source I use, including my cars that both have Premium systems (a Ford Escape with the Sony pkg and a Kia Soul with the Infinity system). I generally don't like listening to music through bluetooth because of the obvious loss in information that the program has (I know the way my music is supposed to sound, and bluetooth, for me at least, has a very hard time making it sound that way). But this inexpensive little amp makes even me a blue tooth user, and I'm a harsh critic.

Wow towards the end of video sounded kind of rough .. distortion pretty bad, i have read several reviews saying the sound on this using bluetooth is bad
@ovectube5773 жыл бұрын
It's actually more my poor recording level on the camera. I maxed out the input level on the recording when I turned up the volume. As far as blutetooth, I think this is the best Bluetooth connection I've ever experienced. I had pretty much given up on Bluetooth connectivity with other systems because it sounded so compressed. This little amp does very well that way. Is it the best you can get? No, but for the price, it is amazing.

Exactly my thought when I first hooked it up, that's why I had to share. I'm by no means an audiophile in the truest sense, but I do enjoy good quality audio and have a soft spot for two channel setups with old speakers. And this little box does that nicely with little to no effort on my part.

What's the wattage of your speaker. Do you ever clip out?
@nmathree893 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. At high volume there was some clipping with the old Fishers, though I am not sure what they were rated at for optimal power (they were late 70s/early 80s vintage). The Bose 301s that are being used now with the Fosi are recommended for 10 to 150 watts and there is no clipping.
