I just bought one and have done preliminary testing. It arrived in good shape. It feels solid and well made. It is not light weight and feels like you are getting something for your money. It had a 30 percent charge out of the box. I plugged the power cable into the wall outlet to charge it and set it on 500 for a slower charge instead of 1100 watts. in about 4 or 5 hours it was at 100 percent. I plugged several devices into it including an 1500 watt heater. It ran fine with no indication of overheating. I only ran it for a few minutes so far. I will test it to see how long it will run before shutting off and add that to this comment. I tested my 200 watt solar panel connected to the XT-90 input and found it reached 176 watts charging at mid day. I have 2 of these 200 watt Renogy foldable panels and am pleased with the efficiency. I will continue to test it and update this post.

For much less expensive emergency refrigeration buy a larger dorm fridge. I have a 3.1 cubic ft one that uses about 50 watts when running. My 500w Bawaut power station can run it 24 hours with ambient temperatures in the 70s. Much less expensive than 12v fridges. This is what I use for hurricanes. I have more battery power now but still use this because of its low power consumption. It has a tiny freezer section too in the top of it that`s exposed to the refrigerated section. It`s a good idea to freeze small bottles or bags of water in it before the expected power outage to help keep the interior colder.

Overpanneling is not mandatory ... use a 500W single panel .. output 43V and 11A => all good. Maybe you meant that it's harder with 12V panels... i do not understand why people still use 12V panels anyway ... for this kind of usage.

Dash has a cheap but amazing 350 watt AC griddle that works great with my 500w power stations. It makes a big 4 inch crispy pan biscuit in minutes and I`ve cooked thick potato slices with mine. You can make pancakes as fast as you can eat them. I bought a three pack that included the griddle, waffle maker, and grill. The grill simply has lines to make grill marks.

I like that you answer all the tech questions, even the basic ones & explain things in a way that I can mostly understand (total newbie to this stuff, my technical knowledge lies in a completely different field). Subscribed cos of that, even though I'm not sure how many of these videos my brain can absorb in 1 sitting (this is my 3rd review of this device today and my brain's about done now, no more tech talk for me today).

I've been testing mine, I've left the fan covers snapped down on accident multiple times (not a huge fan of those fan covers 🤣) luckily it was only under small loads so it never overheated. You done that before? I think this one offers a few good upgrades over Oukitel P2001 model and other similar options. I think it uses the same battery inside since I also only got around 1550 to 1600wh in my testing.

Great review Ben. I like the output capability, but the low efficiency makes it effectively smaller than the Pecron E2000LFP that only has a 1920Wh battery, but really high >90% efficiency. The Oupes 2400 seems like a better option also. Not as efficient as the Pecron, but larger inverter (same 2400W output as this one). Just a couple of quick things... 1. When you mention 3500 cycles to 80%, it should be "capacity", not "efficiency". I know you know, but want to clarify it for your viewers. 2. I've used the 5521 (and 5525 when the power station has those instead) to run 12V fridge instead of the cigarette output as those connections always suck. The 5521/5525 connector is more secure.
@georgealex8306
@georgealex8306 Жыл бұрын
i strongly believe that the fossibot f2400, has the same battery as etc Pecron E2000 LFP, but the software tricks you, that there is no power left and stops the output, in favour of the longetivity of the baterry. That explains the fact, that it charges incredibly fast from 0-100 in comparisson with the other powerstations. I use the system 1-2 days, and it really performs without any problem. For me the main problem is the lack of the ability to add another one or two batteries to the system. But for a small flexible system with such a super price, it is pretty acceptable. If you want to power your house, such solutions are always overpriced! For example instead of purchase a powerstation of 3400 euros, you can add another 1100 and DIY a self autonomous solar system.

You could extend any Solar generator by hooking up a battery pack to the solar inputs. Or hacking into the internal battery connections. It would be nice to know the native battery voltage to these Power stations.

That's exactly what I do with my portable refrigerators. My 5521's are 10 amp output, and I also use them for charging smaller power stations (300Wh and 500WH). Those little units won't handle my solar panels, so it's much easier to charge them from the 5521's.

I seem to recall reading that the solar panel charge will only take it up to around 80% (I can't recall the exact number, but I think it was somewhere around there. I think its got to do with the amount of power actually required to push the volts into that last 15-20% of the cells.)

Is the DC input actually 50v/15a? The user manual says 50v/20a. If it's 20a, that should work good with (2) Bluetti PV350 solar panels in parallel. Maybe 250w panels in parallel would be a better fit on paper, but as you said, actual panel output is like 20% less than advertised. Anyway, the extra 5a would open up more possibilities for panel cofiguration.

10:10 : "Your fridge is gonna use 100Wh per hour" ... mmm dunno where you're living, but our average fridge use 400Wh per day. It's a bad idea to use those images.. cause american waste a lot of energy with their massive fridge while most of us do not. So with this Fossibot 2000Wh, our average fridge would work something like 3 days (taking inverter efficiency into account), or maybe elaborate ... a fridge use something like 150kWh a year, a fridge + freezer something like 350kWh and an "american" fridge something like 800kWh. Thanks for the nice review .. !

I don´t get this "it´s rare to get a output from rated solar panel" thing in videos and, lets call it "reviws" , my Anker 625 100W rated does 120W peak, my Trina Solar 395 do >400W peak, my Ecoflow 100W panels do 110W peak (measured on multiple inverters like Hoymiles Grid inverter, Anker 757 or Bluetti AC200Max). So yeah of course they must "see the sun" in a good angle, but i think the complaints about "panel does not reach wattage" is caused by "kinda bad angle/position where they´ve been build up" ? I mean even my cheap 150W iMars folding panel is doing "great" (versus the comments in the reviews, yeah its getting hot, but to get something about >140W not a issue in case its kinda not summer and more "cold" outside) :) cool video with these 2*3 panel "option" to stick on it, makes very much sense (overpaneling these) as usually in solar, you rarely have the best conditions/angle without any "solar trackers", but "low ligh" or "normal light" conditions will be most common scenario, then will benefit from overpanelling, even if "paralleel" is not the best way to go

I am looking for a good but inexpensive unit that I can plug my oil boiler (base board hot water) into as a UPS so that we have 4 or 5 hours of power outage coverage (worried about MA winters). While we might recharge with solar, it's more likely we would run a gas powered generator to simultaneously run the boiler and recharge the battery for a longer power outage. The boiler requires 1750 watts. My plumber thinks peak might be 3000 but hasn't tested it yet and he believes power is drawn only about 15 minutes per each hour. Would the Fossibot be a good option dedicated to the boiler?

Yes it's possible but unreliable. I have not met anyone who has had good results with wind turbines. 100% of everyone I've talked about about wind turbines said solar is much better. But if you were to use a wind turbine you must get one where the voltage stays within the charge parameter of the unit. That's pretty much it. Connect the wires and system together and you should be good to go.

It is 500 watt maximum. At 24 volts it takes 20 amps in. At 48 volts it takes 10 amps in. 48v x 10 amps = 480 watts. I recharge mine from a 48 volt battery bank using DC 48 volts converted down to 24 volts DC (to avoid going over 50 volt maximum) connected to the anderson plug for solar recharging.
