I remember rolling coins and cashing bottles and cans to see them perform at Magic Mountain. A cousin of theirs got us in the back to take pictures with Pat & Angie. We missed our Greyhound Bus and was stranded with 26 cents and a pack of Sugar-babies. III was punished for a month, but it was worth it!! :)

They are surely beautiful and a talented family. Black people were so soulful, beautiful and magical in the 70's... something about those afros. I heard "Misdemeanor" sometime ago and instantly thought it was Michael Jackson...finally,I now know it was thè Sylvers. That's a badass song!

I just finished watching a repeat of Unsung featuring the Sylvers. I was a Sylver's fanatic back in the day. I knew every song, dance step, birthday, etc. I LOVED THEM! I'm so happy I came across this interview.

Just listened to the song Foster Sylvers wrote for Janet Jackson on her album that came out in 1982 called (Come give your love to me)...I was 8 years old when that song came out and LOVED it back then! Now I love it more knowing that Foster wrote it! Although I was a toddler when the Sylvers came out...but loved me some Foster on re-run's and hearing the songs in the 1980's...and thought he was so cute! LOL! And loved the song Misdemeanor back then. Still listen to the Sylvers...and love Cotton Candy! Lol!

Wow, no wonder I can't find their music, but they were not only handsome guys & gorgeous girls, but had the talent to match. I had heard they were touring with the Jacksons & Papa Joe didn't like the fact the girls were screaming so for The Sylvers, I would have been screaming also. I did see the Jackson 5 perform, but never had the pleasure of seeing The Sylvers perform, I would've love to, I would've been put off the stage even though I was very shy back in the day. I'm praying things work out

What a beautiful large talented family. When you see the parents you see why. They couldn't miss. My handsome husband came from a large good looking and musical family as well. When he was a teenager he said was trying to figure out how he could meet Angie so he could marry her. :)

I know many of you have been through a lot but the very fact that the Lord bought you through it all lets you know that he stills has a work for you. “. I don't like nowadays shows like that ... I don't get the same pleasure as when I watch the Soul Train, American Bandstand or Solid Gold archives; it seemed to be a lot more fun and authentic back then. Also, the Sylvers of ''Hot Line'' and the rest of their 1970s bubble-gum songs, with the huge afros era : not for me; but the Sylvers of the 1980s' ''Concept'' and ''Bizarre'' era : THIS is for me ! These two albums have a special place in my collection of funk vinyl records; even the turntable starts reaching the Seventh Heaven even before I put the record on it ... Just crazy !!!
