oh man.. the haggle over the price of that lens wipe... that is entertainment at its finest haha Adam is a stiff negotiator, but I really think he could have got more. Remind me to bring a few extras when I shoot with you Gavin.. seems to be lucrative (lens cloth flipping)

This image of a big pierced rock emerges from the ocean, under a cloudy sky is one of your most dramatic image. She carries a big message ... There is that good in the photo, we manage to make speak an image. Every spirit has its own story. It is where the divine and the creation are one !!!

My favourite ones are the fairy tree and the waterfall in the Faroe Islands sunset. I love the minimalism of the fairy tree and how it stands out over the mist. There's not a lot of minimalism in nature photography, unless you only deal with long exposure seascapes or very special weather conditions like snow or fog, and i just love it. Clearly special conditions to create that picture. Also, the colors are subtle and beautiful, and it inspires calmness and peace. The waterfall in the Faroe Islands is just an epic scene, without doubt, but what i love the most about that picture is the lovely combination of colors with the right amount of saturation. Just beautiful. I think you have here a selection of pretty stunning pictures. My only complain, or criticism, is that i find some pictures too perfect, too crispy... Maybe the postproduction is ever so slightly heavier than i would like in some of them. I tell you this very aware that i was a criminal of postproduction once (not the worse, but still worthy of punishment), but thankfuly now i tend to like more subtle things. Thank you very much for all the laughter and all the beautiful pictures, you earned a faithful suscriber

I love your Crystal Mill photo. I grew up in the area and most photographers shoot it from the angle looking south-east where you did it looking south-west which is a really nice change and more creative. Good catch on the fall colors too. That area tends to have them for a very small window due to the lack of sunlight in the fall in that tight valley. Well Done!

I don't know which I like best, but the scale of that last image with the little dwelling was really impressive. That second forest image with the light rays also rates highly.

The Crystal Mill is my favourite, the dramatic angle, but the light, oh that light on the rocks. Sublime. Plus the drama you had to go through just to get there and get the shot. I live in the south of England where dramatic landscapes are as frequent as a sunny day in Manchester. You must be living the dream out there on Vancouver Island.

After much contemplation "Pacific Light" and "Lit From Within" are my two favorites. The light in those photos can't be beaten and, along with the amazing light, you have a path and multiple layers that create depth and entice the viewer into the scene by making them wonder what's just down that path. As a photographer (rank amateur) I have to admit the truth, to envious cretins, when they insist that catching perfect light involves luck, but as the old saying goes "The harder you work, the luckier you get." Your work shows that you work both hard and smart. Please keep it up. One day I hope to be able to attend a workshop of yours, if you should ever decide to hold one. 😉

Keep going with the humour, Gavin. Landscape photography can be very staid without it and it’s something that separates your vlogs from others. Your captures are amazing, by the way, and it’s difficult to say which was the best of the selection shown considering you selected your best to choose from! If I was forced to choose, Lit From Within did it for me with beautiful colour, lighting and, as you said, the composition that draws you into the scene. Happy New Year, Mate.
