This is the best video I have seen of the B.I. I used to go every year with my friend when I was younger, and still miss going in September, even though it always seemed to be chilly! The clarity on this video is quite outstanding too. Really glad I found this and thanks for uploading.

I enjoyed the video, very good, the very first sea side holiday my parents took me on was at Blackpool way back 1955 when I was 5 years old, and we had many holidays there in the 1960's and in the 70's and the 80's, these days my brother and I go just for a weekend when illuminations are on, its part nostalgia, part shopping trip, part to see whats new, Blackpool changed, but no one can take away all the fond memories I have of the place.

If my memory is correct, the street lights are on a timer and some lights go out post midnight

TORNADO TAZ The big wheel at Central pier turns off at 10pm and it was off in the video so he probable filmed it around 10:30pm - 11:00pm because traffic doesn't exist in Blackpool after 10:30pm :) I've been myself and it really quieted down after 10pm and there were no cars on the road just after 11pm :D

Blackpool is good for a holiday but it's a horrible horrible place to live. It's full of the dodgiest looking minks you will ever see! Alcoholics and junkies everywhere. The illuminations are really nice, usually from around Sept 1st-Nov 6th, but as you are only seeing them in the dark, it hides how rundown Blackpool is. There are also some nice places just outside Blackpool. I've lived here for 2 years and can't wait to move. Horrible, minky, dirty sleazy place but then some people might like that!!
