毛賊蠱馭秀於全，故伎常生戮富田。 改土嘗為啼血史，殺人慣下借刀牋。 平雲葉落謀秋獮，鴆毒江流棄寇船。 聲噤屍焚仍跪頌，陽間至醜百週年。 English Annotations: 百年當罄感懷 The Sentiments on A Century Gangster Inn Being Ended in Vain 罄, in Chinese, 器中空也 (nothing in the ware) , means something in vain or sold out. And 當罄, together, as a homophonic pun connected to 黨 (political party) 慶 (celebration) , means that it should be an ending in vain at this moment for the whole thing. 毛賊蠱馭秀於全，故伎常生戮富田。 The gangsters (毛賊 as a pun homophonically like the name of Chairman Mao Tse-tung, 1893~1976) were experts in demagoguery and control, even more capable than Hung Hsiu-ch'üan, 1814~1864, the head of the Taiping Rebellion. The massacre at Fu-t'ien town in 1930, even aiming their own early comrades, replayed again and again. 改土嘗為啼血史，殺人慣下借刀牋。 The so-called land reform had ever been a bloody history like in a Chinese myth that the cuckoo birds gave mournful cries untill their throats eventually bled to death. And they always sent a very decent letter to a friend to borrow his knife before they murdered a potential rival without using any single piece of their own. 平雲葉落謀秋獮，鴆毒江流棄寇船。 In late autumn of the red dynasty with the clouds gathering over and the leaves falling down (平雲葉, the gathering clouds and the leaves, as a pun, homophonically the names of the three most important post-Mao heads of the Communist China, respectively Deng Hsiao-p'ing, 1904~1997, Chen Yun, 1905~1995, and Yeh Chien-ying, 1897~1986) , they gathered to scheme a hunting like those dynastic old fellows ever did, outwardly just a regular military training, but actually a blending of diverse interest groups, even with plunders, murders or massacres probably involved. And then, in the highly-toxic river (江, the river, exactly the surname of the post-Deng Communist head, Chiang Tse-min, and 江流, the flowing river, might therefore mean the Chiang's gang members, and 鴆毒江流 together, mean, as a pun, the highly-toxic Chiang's gang members) they were conspiring to abandon their sinking pirate ship. 聲噤屍焚仍跪頌，陽間至醜百週年。 Even if all the non-governmental mouthpieces were gagged and all the corpses were burned, the people still kneeled, and sang the praises for their gangster lord.
