That’s really interesting I have never heard anyone arguing barbed being better then barbless for catch and release

I thought it would be something worth talking about. Most people, including myself, have the idea that barbless is the only way to catch and release fish. Could we be doing it wrong? I would like to see more studies and write ups on this subject. That being said, there are many variables like species, water temperatures, and handling techniques that would need to be taken into consideration.

Try a single hook

@rodgerminer3202 I've tried many different single hooks and they seem to have a higher mortality rate than barbless trebles. The type of lure seems to dictate the hook needed. I'm looking at trying other single hook options in the future, but for now, barbless trebles seem to be better for the fish when practicing catch and release.
