My father back in the mid 80s. Had two 69RS with fold down back seats both were hounds tooth. They are very rare. At one point in Scottsburg Indiana my dad had 17 Cameros 67-69 it was great times for a young teenager. My first car was a z28 rally sport he bought for me in 1982 for 700 bucks out of a hog farm field . All the body panels where caved in on the car from pigs rubbing against it. Took 3 years to rebuild with all new panels started at 13 at 16th birthday surprised with paint jobs. I'm living my youth through you thnx it's great to watch. My fathers collection was well over 60 cars

69. Camaros always been my favorite car in the world I’ve always dreamed of finding one so I could drive it. It would be such a thrill to drive. My favorite car always loved that body style the year when it was made I was eight years old and if I was old enough, I would’ve bought one.

Wow...I bought and sold and parted Camaros in the early 1980's.I've sold many fold down seats but have never seen a houndstooth fold down...Rare piece!

It's a factory gauge car, muncie 4 spd, RS, SS, 350. The original rear was probably a 3.55 or a 3.31. Looks like a great project for someone. Was it Olympic Gold originally?

@@backyardbarnfinds kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpnTq5-oe990Z7M Here is my old 69 Z, completely stock, restored in 2010-12, Early car no spoiler flat hood, console no gauges, original interior, gardner chambered exhaust, M20 4.10 4th week october 1968 Norwood. I found an unknown 69 Lemans Blue COPO sold out of King Chevrolet in Cinci at Greenville SC cars and coffee about 7 years ago. Put it on a lift and found the original 427 on the fender extensions, being restored in Texas. I have restored Z28's, COPO's L78's etc, like they left the factory. Currently have survivor early 70's LT1 Corvettes and a 68 GTO.

The motor with the number machined off you can use Magna flux X-ray etc the police do something similar to see rebirthed engines from stolen cars I’m sure such a enthusiast as you would have contacts for forensic type stuff for tracking such old valuable interesting vehicles

All RS are SS to start with, no ?
@backyardbarnfinds Жыл бұрын
No, two separate things that could have been ordered together.. RS is appearance, SS is drivetrain
@richdorak1547 Жыл бұрын
@@backyardbarnfinds yes , ordered together but no RS could be had on a non SS model. Example: could not get RS package on a 6 cylinder base Camaro. All RS are also SS but not all SS are RS. I know it was the case in 67. Maybe it was changed by 69 ? Source is Michael Lamm's book on Camaro history.

@@richdorak1547 check out the blue Camaro in the pictures on the website backyardbarnfinds.com there is one of a 307 non ss… RS car pretty cool 😎
@richdorak1547 Жыл бұрын
@@backyardbarnfinds I believe you. Just saying that it was not possible in 67. Guess they saw that they were losing $$$$$ and changed the marketing plan.
