Found a BLUE Well In a Huge Bottle Dump!

I went bottle digging at a huge bottle dump which dates back to the 1700s. I was finding old wine bottles right on top of the ground, and as I dug deeper the glass was getting older.

You won't believe how awesome this site is! We found old cork top bottles, medicine bottles, relics and much more. My best find of the hunt would have to be the Blue ink well! Such a lovely color too it. I can't wait to go back and find more! Thank you all so much for watching! Stay Safe.

Been digging a desert like 1941-6 dump of downtown Honolulu. Using my sifter like crazy, '42S Dime , '37 dog tax, Japanese civilian peach medal, tool box tag "P. Fernandez", 1923 Half-fare school transit token, 1920s-'40s .30/06 casings. That inkwell with the broken top was probably a shear top- old & fragile. I found a Japanese cobalt "Shiseidotokyo" bottle near here, good shear top.

Also of late found an odd "Lime Cola" ACL from Honolulu T.H., paint roached & gone. I gave away small cobalts & perfumes from there. Also still have a pint "Hygienic Dairy Honolulu Certified Milk" I'll give to an acquaintance.

Hey Nugget, There are going to be some awesome finds for sure there. Beautiful old pottery, I have seen it broken up into small pieces and used on walls, in kitchens and bath rooms. I live in south Philadelphia as a kid I used to find lots of bottles when they would replace the sewer and storm pipes on Oregon Avenue it was a big dump site .my favorite were the small dark blue medicine bottles. I still have a bunch.

That is such a cool find... I’ve never went out looking for bottles before but my mom and I once found some cool ones while exploring an abandoned ranch in New Mexico. I still have them and they look really old. I love stuff like this. It’s like hunting for treasure!

The small bottles with the broken tops are called "brake-offs" these were cheep ink bottles, in the bottle works they were crudely broken off from the blowing tube which gave the impression that they were accidentally broken.

Very cool bottle hunt . When my uncle was in better health he tore down old houses for farmers. He’s found several old whisky and medicine bottles from the 1800s in those old houses while he was tearing them down. He probably has around 2000 bottles from the 1800s.
