Found A Hermès Scarf Thrift Shopping | Fake or Real Hermès Scarf | My Small Hermès Scarf Collection

Thrift shopping is exciting & fun. Antique malls, flea markets, secondhand shops, etc. may be filled with treasures for the new owners. My surprise find of a genuine Hermès scarf prompted me to share this video. How do I tell what's real or fake? I show how I tell. Because Hermès scarves are highly collectible, there are many fakes out there. So be careful and be sure to inspect or buy from a reputable online seller with return policy.🧣 Having a care label doesn't guarantee authenticity. Research online the various versions of fake care labels out there. The more I learned about Hermès scarves, the more I realized the amount of fakes out in the marketplace. Be savvy! Be educated. Once you have seen and touch a real Hermès scarf, you can better judge others.

I was pretty excited. But I am a pretty calm person and I was able to keep it to myself. This find did reopen my interest in Hermès scarves again and how beautiful they are. So, I may be paying more attention to future meaningful acquisitions. Yes. I will be wearing them more now. 😉

Having found this rare find is reopening my interest in scarves. I never wanted to wear mine before because I was dreading about dry cleaning. The thought of leaving them with a cleaner is stressful. Being a lifelong DIYer, I conquered the anxiety by actually learning how to gentle clean them myself. Now I wear them more freely and enjoy them fully. I think all things have a purpose and these scarves are much happier being worn and out of storage. 🤗

@@Gadgetlily absolutely!! So agree w/ “wear it + love it” instead of “my closet is a museum” approach, haha. But as you note, easier to do so once you know how to wash + care for them at home. I have a big collection of scarves that I wear a lot, but one that is a vintage silk portrait of a couple I have not touched. I need to send you a photo of it and wear the thing! I feel this way about cashmere. It is a real investment/expensive for me but now I know how to wash it from home so try to buy a piece every year because it lasts! Thx for these video treats!
