I had a cat named Smokey as well. She passed away many years ago but I still think of her often. I named her Smokey because when she was a stray, she would hide near chimneys to keep warm and she smelled like smoke when I finally got her to stay with me. Sorry for your lost. It's never easy.

I've been doing this massage for about a year, and my skin absolutely glows! For ADHDers or those who get bored easily, just doing each movement 5-15 times still gives great results. Some days, I only do 5 minutes of the routine, and it still works wonders! 🤗🤗💖💖 The key is doing it regularly!!

How do you preserve the box and wrapping paper so well after so many years? I felt it's very hard especially at a humid city.
@GadgetlilyАй бұрын
I didn’t even think about this. 🤔Some how I just don’t have problem with the box and paper. Maybe my area doesn’t have humidity issues. Sorry I don’t have any tips. I do keep it in my closet which is dark and dry.

Where are the Navigo Easy Machines in the arrival area in Charles de Gaulle Airport to buy bus tickets
@Gadgetlily2 ай бұрын
You have to follow the signs in the airport terminal to the Metro area. There should be kiosk and information desks there. The machines are for reloading $. You should go up to the information desk if you are buying for the first time. That's how I understood it. Maybe they have changed.

So sorry Lily. I lost my chihuahua yesterday. He was around twenty years old. It was his time and we both knew it, as his quality of life had really diminished. So sad to watch your sweet companions grow old and die, but that's how it goes. He was a rescue...someone had run over him in front of our house. After many attempts to find the owner, we adopted him and paid for his medical care. He was very grateful. I'm glad you made this tribute to Louie.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Louie left in mid July and it still hurts not to have him around. I tell myself that we don’t live forever, so how can we expect them to. It’s the saddest thing in life to have to say goodbye to them. I go visit his tree every day and I touch the soft pine needles like I am touching his fur. Your chihuahua was meant to be your little one and I am sure he was loved and cared for so much. I hope time will heal our sad hearts for now. Thank you for sharing your story with me. 🥰

I am very sorry for your loss. Louie left in July but I couldn't get myself to do much since. So I understand your grief as well. I am glad Louie is here with us. We lost Baby, another sweet cat last year. Baby lived to be 17. So Louie and Baby are placed close to each other. The stone we have to mark the site is 2 cats snuggled together. Hopefully, they are in spirit. I say hi to them most days when I am in the garden. We still have 3 other cats to care for. So I will soldier on. 🥰

I am sorry for your loss too. So tough. Louie passed on in July. So also 2 months ago. I just couldn't talk about it then. Yes, it broke our heart to let him go but he was beginning to suffer and he told me it was time. I know Louie didn't want to leave us either. He was a trooper!

@@Gadgetlily they never live long enough, no matter the age. I still cry every single day. I love the idea of planting a tree. I might just have to do that too. July 10th. The most horrible day. Advanced kidney failure and our stoic, lived for snuggles, friendly to all, beautiful, intelligent, darling boy was so strong otherwise. He didn’t want to go but after thousands of dollars and irreversible and complete kidney failure from stones in both kidneys - the only other choice was severe suffering and starvation. I am a Christian and my hope is that he is in heaven waiting for me. Surely God wouldn’t have created such a magnificent cat only to delete him. That’s my prayer 🙏🏻 I will say a prayer that Louie is with him as well.
@Gadgetlily3 ай бұрын
July 15 was my day. Louie also suffered chronic kidney disease. He also have some chemical imbalance that was affecting his brain. We didn't want him to go through any further invasive testing. His body was going weaker by the day although several injections would give him some relief but over time, they too were becoming ineffective. I asked him to let me know when it was time. The last day with him was peaceful and the staff that took care of him were so sweet and kind. I too am a Christian and I KNOW he is well cared for now, as so is your little one. Looking back, our life is marked with certain high points. The little animals that accompany us through our life time are definitely high points. I too often say, cats are God's marvelous creations. How perfect He got them right. So are trees too. Just magnificient. Thanks for your prayer. I hope this video will touch a few and celebrate the love we have for our special little ones. 🐈 🐈⬛

@@Gadgetlily I’m so glad you are a Christian too! I will get to meet you someday after all 🥰 I am reading a very good book about pet loss called Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates by Gary Kurz. Wow, he has some really great insight and biblical research on the proof in the Bible that animals will, indeed, go to heaven. It’s been comforting to read it, and the mystery and fear of IF they go to heaven or not is falling away, thankfully. Louie sounds like an amazing boy…we were both very blessed to have been given the gift of an incredible fur baby in our lifetimes. Not many get an exceptionally amazing one! And even though my lap is so empty and my heart is broken, the good that has come of it is that my eyes are pointed up even more than before. Aren’t our animals amazing? And yes, trees! I’m a lifetime career artist and the Master Artist has made a totally magnificent world. 💙 so nice chatting with you. It somehow helps to know someone else is also getting through it. God bless you and yours…and thank you!

This is so informative and helpful. My husband and I are going to Paris first week of October and staying at one of the hotels in Montparnasse. We’re in our 70’s and decided to take buses as we’re not comfortable taking metro. Does bus #96 (which you showed on your video) go to areas of attractions like Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and neighborhoods like Montmarte, Les Marais, Latin Quarter and back? TIA.
@Gadgetlily3 ай бұрын
So excited for you. Paris is lovely early October. Bus 96 final stop is Gare de Montparnese. Along the way, it will cross over the Seine, stop by St. Michael which is Latin Quarter and go on to near Hotel de Ville and St. Paul. (Hotel de Ville is not a hotel but government offices and Tourist Information Center. St. Paul will lead you to Le Marais as you wonder the cobble walks/maze of narrow streets.) I usually stay at the Oberkampf neighborhood and Bus 96 goes to the Bastille and Republic area before heading toward my neighborhood. Bus 96 does not go to the Lourve nor Montmarte nor Eiffel Tower. The Hotel de Ville stop is a good transfer point to get to the Lourve. You can look up the best connections to take for Eiffel Tower. As I recall, Metro is still the better option to take for Effiel Tower. I’m excited for you and your husband for your trip. Please be very vigilant with your belongings when in busy and high tourist attractions. And say Bonjour to your bus driver!!! Write me again if you have other questions and after your trip! Love to hear.

When I validate the ticket going inbound bus 96. When I want to ride the same bus outbound, do I need to validate a new ticket ?
@Gadgetlily4 ай бұрын
Yes, you need a new ticket. The validation is only good for transferring to another bus but in the same inbound direction. You can transfer to another bus but has to continue inbound. And that is good for 90 mins. from the first validation to the last. If you use the Navigo Easy pass, it will make that allowance automatically without charging another ride fee. Think of it as directional. I often did this when I was in Paris: When I take bus 96 outbound. My final destination is the second to the last stop. But I decided to get off for a brief stop at the third stop to pick up something quick. Within the 90 min. time, I catch another outbound bus 96 to continue my trip. Once I am done at my final destination, I take an inbound bus 96 home. I have to pay for another ticket for this ride. Hope this helps.

Here's one more tip: If you don't see buses, check the bus sign pole and there are routes served at the stop. You'll see the estimated arrival time under the route number. Also, if the indicators are blank, buses are not running or haven't left the garage. Check the map and timetable at the stop.
@seungkim38295 ай бұрын
I went there with my dad and his friends from Korea, usually I took city buses rather than Metros. I used Bonjour app during the trip and it was very useful. We purchased Paris Visite Pass upon arrival in Paris and the station agents were very helpful! I recommend buses unless the destination isn't served by buses.
