My favorite work with found family trope is "Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun", a manga where MC gets sold to a demon by his horrible parents. The demon takes the boy to the demon world... and adopts him. Because he wants a grandkid to dot on XD It's an absurd world, not unlike One Piece, but with a specific Halloween-ish vibe, like Tim Burton's works. The boy makes friends with demons, faces challenges, both serious and not, but always hilarious, and grows to love this strange, absurd world.

Or, if your more of a Harry Potter fan, The Academy Journals. I love found family. My favourite found family of all time is from The Tarot Sequence by K. D. Edwards. It starts out with these two guys who are just absolute disasters because they've never recovered from some pretty intense trauma from their youth. So they're about 30 but they act like immature teenagers. And they get tricked into agreeing to safeguard a kid until he turns 21, so they're basically forced to raise him, and while raising him they're forced to grow up. And the found family just gets bigger as the series goes along. The original two employ this housekeeper (again, because they're complete messes who can't take care of themselves) who is just great. The main character's boyfriend, and his nephew who is like the heart of the family imo. An old soldier of the main character's dad basically becomes the sensible aunt figure, and her grandkids get added to the family too and they're all precious. And then there's Ciaran who is like their cool uncle who takes three of the kids under his wing because they have unique or powerful magic that he knows how to help them develop while no one else does. It's all completely adorable. I'm sure the family will get bigger in future books, because Rune, the main character, has a habit of giving outcasts a place to stay. There's also City of Spires by Claudie Arseneault, where the found family centres around this man called Larryn who runs a homeless shelter in the slums of the city. And by the beginning of the book there's a firmly established dynamic between him and his two closest friends, who live at his shelter. Then the main character arrives at the shelter and they gradually become super close. And then in the second book, Larryn reluctantly allows someone to stay there who'll bring danger down on them, and he forms a friendship with a child at the homeless shelter, and like teaches her to read. And there's also a (mostly) biological family who have really strong bonds, and at the end of the second book all of the characters meet up for reasons, and it seems like they're going to merge into one big found family. Also The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and The Diviners by Libba Bray, which are both pretty popular so I'm sure I don't need to say anything about them.

I love Locke and Jean. So many of these found families you mentioned are criminal gangs, thieves, pirates. Seems being outside of the law and norms goes really well with the trope. Mulling on this and thinking up my favorite examples for about an hour has lead me to need to watch Farscape a seventh time. Lost astronaut joins escaped prisoners who have to run away together creating in a crazy muppet action comedy space opera. A lot of interfamily squabbling all of the way through. They are not an easy family to live with, but still a great found family example.
