Former terrible take: I... man, this is hard... Alright, here goes... *deep breath* I kinda... hated... Robin when I first saw her. MY ACTUAL GIRL ROBIN! Now in my DEFENSE I first saw Robin (or Miss All Sunday) in the 4kids dub with that *horrendous* southern accent. So really, can you blame me for having such a bad first impression of her? She rubbed me in such a wrong way, and I just thought there wasn't much to her other than to sit around looking mysterious and vaguely menacing, and I was just not digging her whole cowgirl drip (even though I love it, now), but I started to come around once she joined the Straw Hat crew, and I became a hardcore Robin fan for life during Enies Lobby. Now Robin is not only my favorite OP character, but one of my favorite characters, period, and I absolutely adore her and would gladly die for her.

My Top 3 Manga: 1. One Piece 2. Berserk 3. Monster I don’t have a specific ranking for the rest, but here are the ones I love: 20th Century Boys, Kingdom, Vagabond, Oyasumi Punpun, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, Naruto, Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan, and Death Note. And just to mix things up, here are some manga I’ve read that I’d call Mid, and a few are straight-up Trash: Boruto, Fairy Tail, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, Tokyo Ghoul, One-Punch Man, Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Sword Art Online.

Regarding Sakura: I’m, honestly, downright disgusted that Kishimoto had Sakura keep pursuing Sasuke, considering everything he did at the end, including trying to kill her on about 5 different occasions. I’ve come across two commenters, who said that they had come across an article where Kishimoto said “If Sakura did move on from Sasuke, she would be ‘a terrible woman’ ”. And with an interview clip I saw, where he said that he tried to draw Sakura prettier, over trying anything else, after a young girl told him that she hated Sakura, I’m inclined to believe that Kishimoto would rather have Sakura be the worst example when it comes to toxic relationships, over showing her as anything else. Kishimoto being so set on us cheering for Sakura’s goal of chasing after and getting with this character who, showed no interest in her and does worse and worse things and becomes more and more unforgivable, as the good/right end goal for this character, because she’s a woman, and he was her first crush, so she must be ruled by her feelings and ignore every, massive red flag honestly infuriates me. It’s such a bad example for young, impressionable girls, and I, hope, he would highly reject it and talk to his daughter, if she one day came home and said she has found and gotten together with someone who acts just like Sasuke did towards Sakura. Regarding the other women: What annoys me about the "becoming a mother" trope, is that that's all they're allowed to be now, with the exception of Ino and Sakura, while all the male characters are shown being both fathers and working. You would think Kurenai would need to work in order to support her and Asuma's kid, but even after her kid is shown as a genin herself, Kurenai is still shown living a normal life. And the possible "she wouldn't have time to be a single parent and work" argument doesn't work either, considering both Gaara and Rock Lee are shown being able to juggle single parenthood and work (we've never seen any wife when it comes to Rock Lee, so I assume that's the case). And the other thing that annoys me about Kishimoto's female characters, is that so many of them has end goals that revolve around/dreams fuled by a male character, while the male characters, while some of them has goals/dreams regarding female characters, they also have other things that makes them stand out and be their own character. And, there are far less female characters taking up high/important positions than there are male ones, which is also annoying. Also, healing is seen as more caring/femmenin, so even when it would, in my eyes, make more sense for Orochimaru - who wants to learn every jutsu - , Shikamaru - as his shadow ability sometimes requires him to do something to himself in order to affect his opponent - and Kiba - in regards to Akamaru being with him and very small pre-shippuden - to learn medical jutsu, it's still Tsunade, Ino and Hinata (in the anime) that gets this role. Regarding Boruto: When Naruto gets kindnapped, and Sasuke puts together a rescue mission, Hinata allowes her genin lvl son to join, instead of doing so herself, when they're, quite literally actually, fighting against an alien lvl treath and she's the one between the two who has battle/war field experience and the most general knowledge. And Shikamaru and his son is given lots of screentime/importance, but from what I've seen so far, the only time we get to see Temari (and Hinata for most of her scenes too) is when the scene takes place at their house. And Tenten, who doesn't even get a husband/kid, is seen running a store instead of continuing working as a ninja. If you want to talk more in debth, I can go into more specifics if you wish (and, if you want to see more from the "Kishimoto is bad at female characters" side, I could recommend some videos. Again, if you wish).

Well, while reading it is very common that I encounter unknown concepts and in order to understand the reading I just have to look for it on my phone. Yes, I could go to my computer but the action of getting up it is more distracting. And having the computer at hand could be even worse.

Going by the Katakana, the J in Hajrudin is pronounced like an I, as it would be in the Nordic languages. So it's more like High-rudin (the final sound is somewhere between din and deen).

I take issue with your characterisation of Harald as being the "supreme dictator" of Elbaf, that's not really how being king has worked throughout history or in One Piece. Even if the law says the King is the sovereign who can do whatever he wants, the realities of maintaining power don't actually work that way; if everyone hates the king or thinks he's ruling badly, pretty soon he's going to be overthrown. Just look at Wapol, tradition or law couldn't protect or restore him. I think Harald probably made the tough decision to set aside his first partner because he thought that such a violation of Elbaf's traditions, and for a reason that others would probably perceive as selfish would make him illegitimate in their eyes and ultimately fracture the kingdom. Obviously he had greater ambitions to try to transform Elbaf into a less militaristic culture, reach out to the rest of the world etc. and he considered those causes a more important use of his political capital than his personal desire of love. I don't know though, we'll see.

Just finished the book, and i just cant believe that every book is just so much better than the previous. I absolutely loved oathbringer and LOVED Dalinar and Shalan in this book and all the interludes and the two ' sanderson avalanches' I listed to the audiobook version and loved every second of it. 10/10

A thought that might be interesting is if the ancient giants were originally pacifists and regular giants are the violent ones and when harold ripped out his horns it sent him into a frenzy where he had all this unexplained rage and didn’t know how to control it anymore
