Kim's story is my favorite 😊. Im so happy you made an update video! The lady with glasses, pulled back hair, blue flowers on shirt: I get the feeling she's the gossiper lady of the neighborhood. The type that can say some pretty nasty stuff. She really shouldn't say Kim's mother always called her stupid. She can just say your mom mentioned you all the time. The part where she was saying Kim's mother thought she was 100% dead, cuz if she wasn't dead, then why wouldn't Kim be sending $money back home?, blah blah blah . That was hitting below the belt. I think all Asian people know what I m talking about lol; how some of the older generation aunts, etc say things with hidden meanings. It may sound nice or in a polite tone, but really, they're actually insulting you 😆. You are awesome, Kyle! God sent, to help so many people. 🥰
@frankreynolds94184 жыл бұрын
Saying that she called her stupid "every single day" over and over was not necessary. That lady was a twat. It sounds like the mother was a bit of a nomad. Moving around often and using false names. Not exactly easy to find. Kim said she came back 10 years ago and hired people to search to no avail. That lady was clearly trying to insult her and it wasn't very hidden. Kim doesn't owe her an explanation for anything. She was a child at the time.

@@GriJelly I’m assuming you’re not from Vietnam. People speak like this all the time. They are really straight forward and we are not really bothered by those words. I think she just reported what the mother said. I hope you could understand the tone. I think the mother was just simpleminded and thought it was easy to find the way back. Or she was just coping and trying to think of a reason why her daughter was not coming home. Perhaps it was simple to think that she had died, or maybe she was stupid, that was why she didn’t come home. Thinking of other reasons could have been more painful.

I am so happy for this update!! I have been wondering how they all were doing. I know she feels one year isn't enough to help with taking care of her mother, but thank goodness she at least had a year! What a blessing it was for her mother to live long enough to see her daughter again! And she got to meet her son-in-law. The sisters are so sweet holding on to each other. I enjoy seeing all of the different food and family gatherings. Her mother had no idea how difficult it was to find her. I'm curious how expensive it is for Kim and her husband to travel there? And what do they do for a living? How often can they go to visit and how long do they usually stay? Have any of the relatives been able to visit them in the US? That would be a fun video to show them where Kim lives etc.

Kyle, thank you for sharing your mother's story. Like some or even many who landed here on your video, we came across it because we were watching reunion stories and KZbin recommended yours. For some of us, reunions are not possible due to circumstance and or time. In my own situation, there is no one left....and all I've longed for is to have loved ones back, to see them one more time before I can leave peacefully. Your mother's story brought tears of sadness and joy....and a bitter sweet content that nice people like your mother have been able to have this gift of reunification. It warms the heart to see that the families continue to bond. I wish you all continued love and happiness.
