My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after 11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

A flat dog ramp would probably be a better option for space. Had a couple of dogs use my old one .Even put different material on it for walking up . One dog didn't like the fake grass on it .

I totally understand your sentiment, but there's a reason dogs like that don't wear a collar. They could easily get stuck in bushes or with their jaw in their own or their friends collar when they are roaming around and playing. I'd rather see them not that far from home anyway, but that's the owners choice.

I currently travel (the U.S.) summers in a small Class C motorhome, which I totally love, but the older I get (70+ now), the bigger it gets! Maybe it's time to downsize to an offroad van! Hey chrome, about cruise. I built my dog a ramp. Same thing he was not comfortable with it. So I put shaggy carpet on it and he felt comfortable going down. Just an idea I care about cruise like my dog 🐕. I like the ramp better than the stairs, less chance falling going down. Thanks for the videos. Stay safe!

What a life to roam the expanses of that area....and with a buddy, to boot!! I'll bet they would have some deep woods stories if they could speak the King's English... As for all the new weight being added over the rear axle, you may want to investigate if the axle itself e.g. bearings and such are within spec to support it all. Sometimes, even with adding leafs, the axle just needs to go and a stronger one put in its place...
