You two scallywags have GOT to be the best way to overcome the dreary pastime of detecting. It's hard enough to endure hour after hour of nothing let alone turning on a video to watch someone else do it. I've actually watched a 20 minute video of a fella finding shot pellets in a very small area with me yelling my brains out from my couch 2 years later, to BLOODY MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE YA €¥π×∆! Love it. I'm not familiar with the terminology but a puddler is what I had pictured in my mind when introduced to mining or prospecting. I was always under the impression that someone would have found a great source but may have been called up by his country (WW1, WW2) and unfortunately never returned home. I never had the chance to find gold in nature whilst he was alive and he was terribly ill towards the end so I just spent my time with him. Good work gentlemen, my first 4 little pieces weighed 0.6g using a mono on the 5000 I bought, what settings do you use for for the double D coil, i might go back over the ground with a DD coil.

What a great day! Ant, maybe those gloves aren't such a bad idea. When you disturbed that spider it reminded my of the time my dad had a big wolf spider sink its fangs into the end of his finger when he picked up a piece of firewood. Why are the "puddlers" (?) protected from disturbance -- but it is OK to dig around the huts? Happy birthday Glenn - big 60?

@Donna Parsons hi Donna. Great to hear you are enjoying our content. It is a difficult hobby and by no means a sure thing that you’ll find gold when you go out detecting. We are not familiar with your machine and have never used it so won’t be any help on that one. Best thing to do would be research on the internet or ask the shop where you bought it from. We don’t take people out or run tours but there are people that do. Lucky Strike and Miners Den offer day trips and the like. Cheers and good luck!!
