I don't feel sorry for anyone in this story and the reason why is because op was also a side piece. She ruined someone else's relationship which was the young woman's mother. The side piece mother used to be engaged to Opie's husband Opie was a side piece in that relationship the husband broke off the relationship with his fiance to be with Opie and they eventually got married, that was a mouthful. This just goes to show the old saying that a tiger doesn't change his stripes is so true. He was dating two women at the same time at the beginning of their relationship while she had a 5 year old daughter and another on the way and engaged to another woman. Red Flags all over the place. But OP probably felt stuck at that time knowing she was going to now be responsible for 2 kids and excepted life with him. Unfortunately I doubt this was the first time he cheated during the marriage it's just the first to go wrong in that his kid found out. He was probably at the point where he felt he could do as he pleased since his youngest was 17 and he would soon not have any child support to pay when he decided to leave. Glad OP is doing well and this hadn't dragged her down or left her destitute.

So much about this story is off, with DNA testing, does not matter who's names on a birth certificate, a court ruling will change the record and stop child support responsibility. Most divorced, not all but most take up to a year due to the court dockets and after 20 years there is no way that it could be done on only 4 months with all the joint property that would need to be divided including child support and custody.

So OP got cheated on by a mother AND her daughter. Getting pregnant all willy nilly is insane to me. Especially if your SO is cheating or even doing questionable things.
