The question I keep asking myself is how tf can you just sit there a blatantly lie in your partners face when you know full well the truth? How can sit there and gaslight someone you claimed to care about? In all of these stories I hear about cheating, the ability to callously lie, gaslight, and manipulate, and the lack of remorse over what they are doing is the part that makes cheating unforgivable to me. It’s deliberate and calculated. It’s sick and shows no empathy for their partner. To me, if you are capable of that, then no, there’s nothing left.

Women do this sh*t the worst.. Ive heard so many stories like this where the wife does sh*t like taking off her wedding ring whenever with AP because he asked.. One chick actually lost the ring at the hotel because of this.. Or stories where they stop sexing their husband because to them its like they're cheating on their AP.. Meanwhile the AP goes home to enjoy his wife after finishing with the cheating woman.. The women start moving different at home with their partner, but the men just enjoy both women....

I was laid off for nine months. My wife still worked, but she refused to contribute anything more toward the household bills than she did when I was working, even though I made more than double what she made. I had to cash in stock options and my 401K (this was 20+ years ago). I finally got a part-time job with one of my old companies (I was and still am in tech). It was a 45-minute commute (one way), but I didn't have cell service for the last 20 minutes. Monday of my second week, I call her when I get in range to let her know I'm on my way home--25 minutes out. She says all right. Understand, I _talked_ to her. No answering machine, no text...I spoke to her. I walk in my front door, and she's there with a coworker of hers naked on my living room floor. She turns to me and says, "You're home early." As I said, I'm in tech and I know my wife, so I diagnosed the situation and immediately realized this was a setup. What she was looking for was a reaction with a witness. I said, "I guess I am." I locked my door, walked past them to the hallway, went into the master bedroom and turned on SportsCenter. It wasn't that I wasn't angry; I was furious. What I was _not_ going to do under any circumstances was give her any ammunition she could use against me in the divorce, which I eventually filed for. The only question I ever asked her about that situation was "Why?" If she wasn't happy, she could have said so. If she wanted to end the marriage, she could have said that, too. I wasn't completely happy, either, but I was committed to her. I never had a problem with her wanting to leave; it was the WAY she left I had a problem with. We were together for 10 years, but I'd known her for 23. Never underestimate a woman's ability to go scorched-earth to avoid being accountable for her actions. Fellas, no matter how much you love your woman or how much you think your woman loves you, _always_ pack a firesuit. 20+ years later, I'm still in the house, I'm still in tech, and there is peace in my valley...

One thing my mother told me is that a weak man allows people to disrespect them and do nothing. If he would've said to hell with it and left without trying to question her would be a lot better. Story 1 OP lets inertia run his life. It was clear long before he caught her cheating that this was a shitty relationship he should have ended. They met in college at a party, and from context it sounds like he was a former alcoholic or close to it. He cleans up his life, grows up, starts acting like an adult, and then just spends years investing all this time and effort into a shitty relationship with an overgrown child who wants to keep being 20 forever. A huge red flag in a relationship is when your partner prioritizes their job over you. That's already a bad sign this is a bad deal you're in. But the biggest red flag job wise is a partner who prioritizes their comfort level with a night shift job over your relationship when they have the option to go day shift. I don't say this lightly when I say "move your hours so you work the same time I do or we're done" should always be the ultimatum. Nobody would pick night shift over their partner unless they're cheating with a coworker or have decided time with you is such an insignificant thing to them that they don't give a shit.

Moral of the story. Never give wifes any chances at all. The moment she cares about "me this" and "me that" means she's seeing someone to fulfill her desires. You treat a cheating women just like how a cheating man. Destroy ever ounce of what they once had that made them feel empowered. Their control over you and gaslighting as if you're the problem. A women has no dignity at all if she never shown you any in the first place and the moment she is happy to leave what she once had she'll lose her dignity like the cheater she is. Idc how it will break her because it's how life is when one is busy on the streets.
