I do agree with that! This is a very clean, organized GW and it seems they don’t put junk and broken items in the shelf BUT, you DEFINITELY pay up for the cleanliness! But it seems most thrift stores (especially GW) seem to forget they are thrift stores and NOT an antique store 🙄

Your goodwill much higher then ours. Dealers/Resellers in general online bragging how much they make has goodwills going up on prices. What goodwill does not understand is some of these resellers online have "fans" that will pay 4 times what the closed out listings going for online. Lamplady other day had item that closes out on ebay for 5 bucks and hers sold for 70 bucks.

Goodwill and Salvation Army are now a 2nd hand store. That is way the prices are up. Best place is the Fairground.

(9:35t the cake stand from Big Lots) Now with me old enough to remember when Big Lots first opened back in the day, they were called Odd Lots and Big Lots they were close out stores. Odd Lots were mostly food related and the sister store sold overstocked home goods furniture bedding and so forth. They used to sell nice high end decor and furniture at a bargain basement prices. Real nice stuff made in the U.S.A. It's been a good while since I've been in one so I'm guessing they went the way of cheap chinese crap like most stores along with overpriced high end department stores. There's your retail history lesson from me lol but you both probably knew that already.

Cool finds, guys! I liked the candlesticks @ 8:30- reminded me of French fiancé and the toile lamp @ 18:34. I think the round pitcher @ around 20:55 may have been by Harlequin which made pottery similar to Fiesta. Wishing you safe travels & happy hunting.

I counted sixteen items I wish you had picked up, the "Cindy" bowl, the United States cutting board, the Asian parasol was on Antique roadshow $2000, it's beautiful, Blue l/white basket weave canisters, Bronze fairy candleholders, Business desk double light lamp, Pink/gold tree trunk vase. Two blue/white sponge wear mixing bowls my great grandma had.

First time watching. I read that 'Japandi' is in this year so maybe the umbrella would be a good purchase. Elf candleabra is adorable. Beautiful blue vase. I'd have hotten tjose as well. I noticed you call the candle holders, "candlesticks". Is that a Northern thing? Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC candlesticks are typically wax and have a wick you can light. We may be a bunch of hicks. IDK... LOL

Hello from L.A.! My goodness the prices are high where you are. The snowflake Pyrex bowl $6 max, id pick up at $4. The stacking bowl tower thing for $35 , I'd say $25 max, id do $16. Lamps here $25 max super fancy though, but usually $10 to $15. I like your channel btw

You picked up a glass vase and looked at the bottom. It had a spot where a pontil was and that area was buffed out (that may be the wrong term). What does that mean as far as age is concerned? I have a vase that has that and a Fenton cat that has it also. I can’t find any reference to it. Thanks for your help.

That just means it was hand blown glass. I don’t think you can tell the age by the pontil. When the bottom is polished it shows the artist spent time and thought into the piece.
