01:28 just fyi, those _Cotoneaster_ blossoms literally smell like sh*t. They have spikes all over the stems, too, and grow into a woody hedge or shrub over many years. They smell like poop… or fish that has been left out and not properly fermented with the correct method for fish sauce, kimchi, etc. 😆 🤮 Lol. I lived in a house in Hillcrest (San Diego) that had a small border hedge of "cranberry cotoneaster" all around the front. Is almost like euphorbia crown of thorns but bigger, not succulent and smelly. I was wondering what smelled so bad, until one day I was pruning the red berries which form after the white flowers get pollinated… I got closer and the flowers were putrid. I was so tired of the mockingbirds making a mess of them, and dive-bombing everyone who walked by as they guarded their shitberry blossoms. Hahaha.
