I have the same Tera stick pump. The problem I have is it's stored in an outside shed which is really hard on the batteries. I also had problems with the cheezy switch. To rectify that, I got rid of the batteries and switch by installing a 12v to 3v dc converter in the handle, with the wires coming out through the switch hole. On the end of the wires are soldered battery alligator clips for connecting to my lawn tractor(s) batteries. You'd be surprised at how much better the stick pumps with more available current from the 12v battery. In addition, there's a paper stuck to the side of the stick which covers a hole. I used RTV to seal that hole with the switch from the end of the handle. My guess would be that with the better seal this gives the pump a better vacuum pull on the fluid being pumped. I currently don't have any switch & the pump is on/off by the battery connection. Connecting it up is a little difficult for the mechanically/electrically challenged in our household so my next step is to use a 20v drill battery instead of the tractor battery and to add a switch. We'll see if that's any easier. If it was just me doing this stuff, I'd keep it the way it is. I would like to find a ring for the gas can so the stick pump could just stay in there... maybe some kind of hose adaptor? I'd really like to have this as a semi-permanent setup in our shed so that only a tool battery & a switch was involved. You're doing good stuff, keep it up!

The cable is for the purpose of avoiding static sparks that would cause the fuel to burn.

your go to one is perfect for diesel cause I filter all my diesel before it goes in my tractor, and it seems to be the perfect flow to work with the Mr funnel, you would be amazed to see there's actually stuff just from the pump you can put in your tank, I m just trying to cut down on down time and maintenance

If you are filling a small gas tank slower is better. Less chance of it over filling , and spilling.

I believe the jegs can be used as a siphon. for example pull old bad fuel out....I think the hand pump style fits more my needs as electric ones are cool sometimes old school simplicity is better long term...thanks for video

i have a chipper shredder and the engine fuel tank is like 3 to 4 feet off the ground I don't see that crack pump working trying to hold the hose and crank the pump at the same time 3 feet apart

Depends on what you are using it for, way too fast, too high a volume for use with lawn mowers or garden tractors.
@HonestlyOCD3 жыл бұрын
agreed some situations it might not be the best for but the shut off it pretty controllable so you may still be able to use it for most things by modding your usage

That's BS. I've tried both pumps and they crap out when lifting fuel 3 feet or more. The stick pump struggles to lift fuel 18".

Couple comments.... hope you take note.... First, thank you....I'm looking for a pump like this and the video was great.... even though you only dealt with 3 pumps... 2nd....stop carrying the camera for any more than 10% of the edited video.....way too shakey... Third.... reserve your personal opinion..... especially ones like.... I'mma return this item.....to the end ... I believe that you left a lot of information unsaid about the hand crank pump, you liked the flow, you just didn't like the nozzle, and I don't think you mentioned anything about the hand crank pump sets up in less than half the time and you don't need any batteries or electric whatsoever in order to operate it.... Lastly, when you do a review make the review comprehensive, and save all final judgments to the end.... You've got a pretty good style and I hope to see more of your videos in the future....Mo
